I gotta vote for the John Williams Superman score from ‘78. I can’t remember the lyrics, but the music is great. I believe the lyrics are: Dah-da-da-da-dah, dah-da-dah; dah-da-da-da-DUH-DA DAH!

Jimmy Olsen's Blues by the Spin Doctors is probably my favorite.. the lyrics are just fantastic.
Since someone already posted that, I'll go with a couple runners up:
Baby Gotterdammerung by Monster Magnet, featuring a bit about MODOK
This one was pretty popular.. surprised no one has mentioned it 'Kryptonite' by Three Doors Down

Sometimes I cannot see all the embed videos, but has The Ballad of Barry Allen (by Jim's Big Ego/the nephew of Carmine Infantino's band, Carmine Infantino even drew the album cover the track is on I think) been mentioned?

First song that came to my mind as well.
The Sgt. Rock song I was familiar with but I didn't know about Brainiac's Daughter - never have heard much Dukes of Stratosfear.
I first came across Brainiac's Daughter in reference to the Kingdom Come miniseries, where there is a background character called Brainiac's Daughter.
Brainiac's Daughter resembles Supergirl intentionally, which led fans to assume that her birth parents were Brainiac 5 and the Girl of Steel. In the "Kingdom Come - The 20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition", the creators clarified they never thought of her origins prior to her conception, but they endorse the fan theory: "As silly as it sounds, this character is the combination of two songs by one of my favorite groups, XTC: "That's Really Super, Supergirl" and "Brainiac's Daughter." Apparently people assumed that her origin was from the coupling of old-time Legion lovebirds Brainiac 5 and Supergirl, and so, never having answered this question before myself, I'll go along with this idea. This also suggests that she, like Starman VIII, has traveled back in time from the 30th century."
Learning of this connection made me go and hunt out the Dukes of the Stratosphear albums, because I had only been vaguely aware of XTC's alternate identity before this.

I also like Five for Fighting's "Superman (It's Not Easy)."
Cei-U! I summon the late entry!

This is by far the most obscure one I could find... Sun Ra singing a song about Batman.

Man, Kingdom Come is the gift that keeps on giving... I never noticed her costume is essentially the Super-family "S" shield. I am constantly astounded that even the most minor "background" character is a design masterpiece, designed with thought and purpose.
