The expanded edition looks like something I want!
“The Thousand Deaths of Batman” is one of many stories that shows why I love the Gotham Underworld so much.

Just looking at all those Image covers is making me a little nauseous.

Icctrombone, I can't believe you paid 3 dollars for a non-Thor comic.

Icctrombone , I can't believe you paid 3 dollars for a non-Thor comic. I've been a fan of Evan Van Sciver for a while and I had the second part of that series for 20 years. I needed to get the first part.

Wall-to-wall classics! Especially Batman#144 and Detective #318. I read Bat-Mite Meets Bat-Girl at least once a month. And Detective #318 is one of my candidates for best issue of Detective EVER!

I just read the Batman and Detective issues, my first time ever (everything else I picked up I have in reprint collections). They are fantastic! You aren't kidding on Detective, it was everything I hoped for and then some.

The Bat-Mite Meets Bat-Girl story is reprinted in Batman in the 1960s. I have not read the other two stories.

And of course, Detective also has the Martian Manhunter. Zook provides a much-needed element of humor to the later part of the series.

I liked the other 2 stories in #144 (particularly the Joker one), but the Bat-Mite/Bat-Girl story was the highlight for me (I loved Robin's "other woman" explanation!) I made it through about 100 pages of the 1950's collection yesterday as well!

Did you read The Thousand Deaths of Batman yet? That is literally the next one up! I'm going sequentially and it starts on page 101 in this edition. Actually, no time like the present, I'm diving back in now
