Time for another "Pick 2" survey - this time highlighting the enemies of the Fab 4 from the 60's. No, not THAT Fab 4!! The Fantastic Four not only launched the "Marvel Age of Comics", but picked up a pretty nifty rogues gallery along the way. Their #1 adversary is also the de facto "head villain" of Marvel...but I'm sending him packing for this survey so other bad guys can have the spotlight. Sorry Victor! Pick your favorite 2 from this list, and as always feel free to select "Other" for the ones I've given short shrift to. I am very tempted to write in "evil H.E.R.B.I.E." myself.

Annihilus, based mostly on Annual 6, and the big G.

I picked Annihilus and Psycho-Man. I love their designs.

Diablo, because the alchemy aspect is an interesting twist on the FF's usual science foes and makes him well-suited for fighting other heroes, and Terrax because of the rockin' character design.
(Adding the caveat that I'm not a FF fan.)

Annihilus is my favorite FF villain of all time, so that was an easy pick. Love the character design and the whole concept of the Negative Zone.
My second choice is the Frightful Four. I love the "shadowy counterpart" type villains, and always found their appearances a lot of fun. Also liked the ever-changing 4th member spot, I remember a couple of issues as a kid where even Electro briefly took that role. Plus, I think I have an obsession with collecting anything Paste-Pot "Trapster" Pete appears in (I'm not proud).

I seem to have jumped on a bandwagon by picking Annihilus, but so far I'm the only Super-Skrull fan. I love characters like The Composite Superman, The Super-Adaptoid, Amazo, and The Mimic who have the powers of an entire team. Of these, Super-Skrull is the coolest.
Cei-U! I summon the four-in-one fiend!

I went with Galactus because he's such a memorable villian, with a way cool costume, and I like that his motivations aren't actually evil: eating planets is just how he rolls. My second choice was Mole Man, partly because he was the first FF villain, but mostly because I love his whole "subterranean villain who wants to rule the surface world" motivation and his weird Moloid followers.

I love Diablo. I feel he is kind of an underdog. I've heard that Stan hated him. Mark Waid ridiculed him. But from my first encounter in FF #232 he fascinated me. I loved the idea of sending elementals against the semi-elemental FF. And Byrne made him look a lot better than he had before.
I also love Psycho-Man, because I like "psychological" villains. Another character put to great use by Byrne.
Super-Skrull is pretty close, and I love Galactus, but don't really consider him a villain.

I'm assuming people aren't picking Sub-Mariner because they don't see him as a villain.

I don't consider Namor a villain, and I don't really like him much, either.

The Frightful Four, because it was usually more fun and Namor, just because he was such an a-hole that it generated conflict with everyone. I wasn't fond of Galactus, after the first time 'round.

Annihilus. FF 140 is such a solid cover, despite being a panelled layout, I love the reds and showcases how great he looks.
I redacted my vote for Galactus as I agree with other assessments of him. Frightful Four are much more etertaining.

Characters like Galactus and Namor do challenge the notion of "villainy". Neither is actually evil at their core.
"Adversary" would perhaps be the more encompassing term. Galactus might not be motivated by villainy, but at the same time, has created tremendous threat levels during encounters that have put him in conflict with the FF.
Subby is of course more the anti-hero, sometimes fully joining the ranks of the heroes, other times at an uneasy alliance or truce. But in early appearances, he was very clearly an adversary, and acts like abducting Sue do feel a bit in the "villainy" category.

Terrax. Hes my all time favorite hearld. And Bryne used him well long before I discovered him Silver Surfer.
What was the intergalactic hockey player villain? That was a fun story.
