We're definitely going six episodes with this one!
I can also announce that I have set a release date for episode 25 - part 5 of the Star Wars saga: it will be available on June 15!
I'm scheduling them once a month, so we'll see how editing goes on the final Star Wars episode, but I'm pretty confident I'll have it done in plenty of time for July 15. I'm going to wait to officially put that on the schedule until I'm sure, though, so for now I've added episode #26 with a TBD attached to it.

A tease from Part 5, courtesy of Confessor: "When people say that they don't like the Ewoks or think they're rubbish, I just think, 'I'm not sure you've really understood Star Wars.'" I can't wait to share Confessor's impassioned defense of Ewoks with a world that desperately needs it!

We need 3 more Podcasts on Star Wars from Confessor so he can proudly boast that his 9 series discussion of the comics based upon Star Wars is 9 times better than the actual 9 movies! There I said it!

Big announcements!
First, I'm excited to announce a new series on the Classic Comics Forum Podcast called Origin Stories. I've been looking for a way to expand the Q&A section of the podcast, because I love talking to people about their comic collecting tastes and history, and that's what Origin Stories is. Each episode will be me interviewing someone about their own personal origin story as a comic book fan, through the lens of the 10 issues that had the biggest impact on the.
These episodes will be running between arcs of the regular CCF Podcast, so they're bonus episodes that won't interrupt the regular flow of things. I am also going to be recording them as video calls and will be posting on YouTube if you prefer that medium. But for the podcast, the first episode will guest star Shaxper, and is tentatively scheduled for August 1!
But wait! That's not all!
I'm also excited to announce the next podcast series and guest. Once the Star Wars episodes are done with, I'll be joined by Icctrombone for two-parter discussing the seminal (or infamous?) Avengers arc The Fall of Yellowjacket, which ran from issues #211-230! Those episodes are tentatively scheduled for August 15 and September 15!
Hooray!

I'm excited to announce that the next episode is all edited and will in fact be posted as scheduled, so we're officially back on track with this thing. Hurray!
And here's the least surprising announcement of all time: This two-parter with Icctrombone is actually going to end up as a three-parter, so I have adjusted the listing to reflect that there will be a part three coming in October. Don't worry, it's not going to be six parts; there's only enough audio recorded for three, but I didn't want to cut anything out to get it down to two. Hurray!
That will push the podcast version of Origin Stories with Roquefort Raider to November 1, but don't worry, the video will be posted on YouTube before that. I'm hoping to start posting the videos on YouTube no later than the start of next month.

Scott, how do you come up with topics and guests? Do you pick the topic or the guest first? Do you ptich prospective guests on an episode idea or do they pitch something to you? Or does it differ from episode to episode?

Hmmmm interesting question. Quest for the guest or the guest creates the quest for an episode(s)? If you cast a Pod forth, does it come back? And if your Pod cast away doesn't come back does it mean that it doesn't love you? If you ponder a Pod quest for a guest are you casting too wide a net in the pond of Pods? Is Pod pondering just a guess for a guest quest? Cast not your Pod guest upon the pond lest your guess be incorrect? Guess maybe this guest has cast his pondering Pod prodding's enough? Have I guessed correctly? Guess we will see? 🤪

Scott, how do you come up with topics and guests? Do you pick the topic or the guest first? Do you ptich prospective guests on an episode idea or do they pitch something to you? Or does it differ from episode to episode? Usually I approach a guest and ask if they want to be on the show. If so, we'll try to figure out a series or run that we both want to talk about. ON occasion, we've picked something that I haven't read, but usually it's something we're both already familiar with. There are a couple people I have suggested a specific topic for based on their activity on the forums. But in general it's easier to ask the guest what they want to talk about and then do the reading myself if necessary, rather than ask someone to read something I want to talk about. I have a couple specific topics I want to discuss but so far I haven't found anyone who has read the comics in question, so I'm not sure they will ever happen - or I might do them solo at some point.
