#50 Snagglepuss Hanna Barbara CreationFrom WikipediaSnagglepuss is a Hanna-Barbera cartoon character created in 1959, a pink anthropomorphic mountain lion sporting an upturned collar, shirt cuffs and a string tie with a great desire to be a stage actor. My Personal ThoughtsHe was a delightful character and one of my favorite to watch as a kid and one of the most unique character that young girls like to watch on a regular basis. I like him very much because he has great love to be a actor on stalge and most importantly wanted to entertain everywhere he goes. He travels on a train as part of a circus and has great flair and style and quite eloquent (way with words) as he speaks to you. I find him charming, delightful, and shown some degree of intelligence as he goes about his merry way. What a cool name that Hanna Barbara selected for him!

Great topic! I hope that the criminally underrated Foghorn Leghorn makes this list! Foghorn Leghorn is on the list ... at what ranking that's for you to wait! Good to know! There's also a certain barbarian whose name begins with a T and ends with an r (or two) that I'll be looking out for.

#49 Gossamer Looney Tunes CreationFrom WikipediaThe word "gossamer" means any sort of thin, fragile, transparent material — in particular, it can refer to a kind of delicate, sheer gauze or a light cobweb. The name is meant to be ironic, since the character is large, menacing, and destructive. My Personal ThoughtsI'm a big bigfoot/sasquatch fan and I adore this monster from Looney Tunes because he such a lovable character and have so many great mannerism and they made him both scary and cute at the same time. I find this character so unique because he is all hair and according to Wikipedia above "a light cobweb" and that what his hair is like to me. In the following two You Tubes clips that I will showing you shortly the description of "a light cobweb" comes to mind. This is one of the most unique character and one of the most underrated one indeed. To me, he is an oversize cute hairball with touch of whimsical delights of huge horror that delights us all. Cute Gif of GossamerWith so many great cartoon characters - I find it hard to believe that I had him down to Number 49. For the record, I will be doing one a day to give all of you a chance to see the next character and I wanted to make this last.

#48 Chip and Dale Walt Disney CreationFrom WikipediaIn the 1950s, they were finally given their own series, but only three cartoons were made: Chicken in the Rough (1951), Two Chips and a Miss (1952) and The Lone Chipmunks (1954). My Personal ThoughtsTwo totally different chipmunks and they both worked together just beautifully and one of the most beloved pairing that's sadly at the bottom of the barrel. Chip has a black nose that's looks like a chocolate chip and Dale has a bright red nose with ruffled fur and he's the funny one while Chip is more laid back and has a more serious outlook in handling things differently. But, they were so great together and they were antagonists to the many Disney characters such as Pluto and they were at times quite mischievous due to their way of handling their problems straight on. I find them delightful, cute, and most importantly they became so popular that Walt Disney Studios gave them three full length (read Wikipedia segment) cartoons and I loved them all dearly. Chip and DaleOne of my favorite clips involving them and Donald Duck!

Cool idea!
Question though: are you going to count variations among your listing?
For example, would Duck Dodgers make your list if Daffy was already on it?

Cool idea! Question though: are you going to count variations among your listing? For example, would Duck Dodgers make your list if Daffy was already on it? I'm afraid not, I was going to put Darkwing Duck into consideration and decided not to include him and I'm not a fan of variations type characters at all. Sorry String.

#47 Roger Rabbit Walt Disney CreationFrom WikipediaRoger Rabbit is the titular deuteragonist of Disney/Touchstone's 1988 hybrid feature film Who Framed Roger Rabbit and the protagonist of the short films and comics spun off from it. He is the titular anthropomorphic rabbit of the film--a frantic, over-anxious type who often stutters (even while he's screaming). He is also based on the most famous cartoons characters who were popular during the Golden Age of Hollywood animation. My Personal ThoughtsWhen his great animated full length movie came out "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" back in 1988 and the long awaited sequel that's coming out in 2017 (exact date unknown) - this character caught my fancies with him and his gorgeous wife Jessica Rabbit (pictured below) caught my fancies ever since. Roger Rabbit is definitely a newcomer to me and having said that I was enjoying the cute under 4 minutes cartoon that all theaters showed before the actual movie was a winner in my book and this character is one of the most action oriented character of all times and Disney did a great job making it a fun and exciting character for me to enjoy. I was introduced for the 1st time through this cartoon clip that I will be sharing shortly and with my dear friend Tom - I started to enjoying him later on in my life. Fantastic character that has a zest for living and does things so frantically that all of us enjoy so much. You Tube of Roger Rabbit

#46 Snarf Rankin Bass CreationFrom WikipediaIn the 1985 version of ThunderCats, the character is an elderly Snarf, whose real name is Osbert. However, he hates his real name. Snarf served as a nursemaid and protector for Lion-O when he was a boy. After Lion-O grew up, Snarf found that often Lion-O did not want to have him "mothering" or protecting him. Still, Snarf has remained loyal to Lion-O and the other ThunderCats. At times, he does come through in a pinch with an idea and takes action when it is needed. Even though not a fighter by skill or nature, Snarf is very agile. He also can communicate with other animals on Third Earth to enlist their help in his tasks, and once even tricked the Ancient Spirits of Evil into giving him a power up to become Snarf-Ra.My Personal ThoughtsPanthro is my favorite Thundercats and Snarf is my 2nd, and Lion-O my third. Of all the Rankin Bass creations of animal characters he (Snarf) is top dog in their creations. I was a huge cartoon fan of the Thundercats in the mid-80's and having said that Snarf is one of the biggest reasons outside of Panthro because he was the inventor of the Thunder Tank (both pictured here) and having said that this show has a great impact on my life because I enjoyed the stories, the adventures, the excitement, and most importantly I love Snarf who is loyal to the Thundercats especially to Lion-O and he's one of the most capable mascot available and like Wikipedia said this - he's a great communicator with other animals on Third Earth and quite useful to all Thundercats in many of it's adventures. I consider this cartoon one of the better ones in terms of teamwork and having said that Snarf was instrumental in doing that. Lion-O and SnarfGreat Pals in this great Rankin Bass Cartoon in the mid 80's. Cool You Tube - Under 3 minutes
