I don't know what it is about Comic Book sites, but the big 3 (to my mind) - Newsarama, CBR and Bleeding Cool - have all had disastrous redesigns and none of them have really recovered from them. Simon, You clearly state the problem ... I used to bookmark these three sites and one by one I disconnected them. 1st it was Newsarama, then Bleeding Cool, and finally CBR ... all in a space in 1 year and I haven't look at them for over a year. That's why I always hated the constant turnover of web page design that makes me ill in my stomach looking at it. Disastrous is the right word to describe it.

I haven't gone to the forums there more than a handful of times since COCBR (Crisis On CBR), but checked on the Comic Book Legends Revealed column every week. But now, not only is the redesign ugly as all get out, but it locks up my browser most of the time. Looks like I may be done with them totally unless I can access the Comics Should Be Good blogs without going through the new, awful CBR page.

Folks, I understand the feelings about CBR, but let's not be calling out individual posters or moderators and just keep it to CBR in general and stay to the high road.

I have not logged into CBR for maybe 16 months but occasionally scroll the forums. The classic comics/collected editions thread is so sad to see. It's really just about the form of comics, not content. Lively debates of stacking tradebooks horizontally vs vertically and the best is advice if your comic book page has a bent corner. Invaluable info

Invaluable info I haven't dared to open up the Classics comics forum since we left. It was like pulling teeth to get it reinstated after it had been merged with 2 or 3 others. Most of the people with anything interesting to say had moved on to here.

This thread has run its course and violated rule #2 of the forum Rules of the Road on a number of occasions. We're done here.
