It's a good start. The Slott/Allred Silver Surfer series is pretty great, too. But I hate the Silver Surfer. Though I like Slott & Allred. Hmmm. Mr Slott did good with She-Hulk if you haven't read that Dan. Or if she's not in the same group with the Surfer and Frank Miller.

Yep. She-Hulk is where I first took notice of Slott's work ... well, along with his GLA stuff (speaking of Squirrel Girl).

One thing I've found interesting about all this is that, unless I've missed it, there hasn't been an announcement over at CBR or any threads about it. I have to assume they're deleting threads as I can't imagine this bit of news not generating some serious conversation.

After looking over Valnet's portfolio more, one of their properties, BabyGaga, has a community/forums along with a main site. So they might keep the forums at CBR. But I'm betting the main site gets an overhaul at some point. Most of their sites have a very similar layout and style. So I'm betting they'll want to make CBR fit their look. Easier to manage, maintain, tweak, and promote with a one-size-fits-all approach. Really no different than what Wizardworld does to the conventions it acquires.

Brian posted a congrats to Jonah thread on the Comm and there were a few postings about it in various chat threads, but no official posting from Jonah or the staff. community.comicbookresources.com/showthread.php?73552-Congratulations-to-Jonah-WeilandThere was some social media postings on Jonah's Facebook and twitter about the sale.

Ah, I must have missed that, I was expecting balloons and confetti I'm glad it's all positive, I was really expecting a melt down which would be sad because I love talking Hellboy and Batman there.

Mostly positive. There was some talk in X-Cres that the forums might be shutdown. But I think a lot of users don't know the news since there has not been an official message about it on the forums or the main site.

And the changes have begun.
The main site layout is like all Valnet Inc.'s other sites, and they cut most of the reviews and columns. Plus it looks like they integrated the blog content (CSBG & Robot 6) into the main site.

It really looks terrible. I stopped going there for news when the ads got too intrusive, but had headlines sent to my inbox and checked out a few columns/blogs. The columns have moved elsewhere, and I can get the news elsewhere too, so the CBR site really has become obsolete for me altogether now. Ah well, change is constant and dinosaurs get buried in the dust.

I stopped going there regularly right after "The Reset", but I did check it out every couple of weeks to read The Buy Pile and to see if there were any interesting interviews.
After clicking the link in the OP and being greeted by that monstrosity, I think I can pretty safely delete the link from my browser for good now. Such a shame.

I used to go there on a weekly basis and like the The Captain said it's one big ugly site and I just could not believe how horrible it is ... so I removed my bookmark and vowed never, ever visit it again!
