^ Why is that guy wearing his tie tucked inside his pants? I don't think that was ever a fashion.

I stand corrected. (And slightly baffled.)

The only Golden Age DC hero comic (as opposed to Real Screen Comics etc.) I ever had was a Flash and very disappointing art-wise... At least with the Flash Comics above you'd probably get a really good Hawkman inside! Wait... All Flash was not ALL FLASH?! LIES! LIES RIGHT IN THE TITLE! Also the synopsis from Lone Star sounds amazing: Written by Robert Kanigher. Art and cover by Martin Naydel. As a young man growing up, Slapsey Simmons couldn't dance and therefore drew cat calls from the gang. However, the Flash must face Slapsey years later when he decides to use his hated of dancing and music to commit crimes in those places featuring both! One day while the Three Dimwits are fishing, they rescue what appears to be a mermaid, who then rewards them with furniture made of solid gold. It's been a long time since I had the All-Flash comic but it was mostly Flash... I meant that Flash Comics had Hawkman (maybe by Shelly Moldoff who was a very good artist). It was a weird but overly silly story, and I disliked the art quite a bit. Amazing that the Flash competed successfully alongside the likes of Plastic Man by Jack Cole with his own title as well as a monthly anchor appearance. I would've picked Hawkman based on quality over both the Flash and Green Lantern as second stringer with their own title (Supes, Bats and WW being the first string).

My question is, how did Marvel Studios & Disney not license Ant Music for the Ant-Man films?

For this comic, though, it works.

McFarlane...just no. Poor composition, substituting "style" (if you can call it that) over competence. Like Liefeld and Jim Lee, a part of a certain generation overrated this mess, but he was one of the worst Spider-Man artists. This cover is just a small taste of that charge.

That cover had too much orange and it was an eyesore of eyesore. I just find this cover so hideous beyond belief.

When his Spidey run first came out I really enjoyed it as a teenager.
I bought the Omnibus that was recently reprinted of his Amazing Spidey run a few months ago, and upon re-reading it, I did not enjoy it nearly as much as I remembered.
Was he the worst Spidey artist ever? Not in my opinion...but he certainly isn't the best, either.

I don't think the Spidey cover is that bad. It would be a lot better if the figure of Spidey was removed.

Maybe he wasn't there in the first place, then someone said, "Um, shouldn't Spider-Man be on the cover of his own book?" Solution: Move the current image up and shoehorn Spidey in at the bottom. Has anyone in this thread mentioned Eerie Publications?

I'm no fan of McFarlane, but to give credit where credit's due, he's a master at drawing voluminous cloaks.
