In no particular order: You have Macross listed but I voted for Robotech in general: everything from the veritechs to the hovertanks to the SDF-1. Shogun Warriors: The Marvel series by Moench and Trimpe is an underrated classic. Though I never had any of the toys as a kid. Transformers: Such elegant designs, on-screen at least. Voltron: The Lions get all the glory of course but I enjoyed the Vehicle Voltron as a kid too. Other: Mighty Orbots

As a Martial Law baby in the then dictator-ruled Philippines under 20-year dictator Ferdinand Marcos, I will always say this Voltes V, which Marcos banned from the television shows, thus incurring the ire of kindergarten to grade schoolers, because he thought that the dictatorial power-hungry villains showcased similarities of the abuse he was doing to the country.
This just never gets old.
And of course Daimos.
And of course my all time favorite as a grade schooler in New York, you can't beat Voltron (not the one with the roller skates).

I don<t think they were meant to be giants, but I just remembered that there was one set of robot toys I used to like when I was a kid in the late60s or early 70s - the Zeroids. Wiki says there were three of them ut this is the one I had: Zerak the Destroyer I had to look up all these names but they come back to me now. It was battery operated and could roll around on a set of rubber treads hidden underneath the base.

Oh yeah, I loved my Zerak. The others didn't interest me; guess I wasn't a completist back then. As for the poll - I missed out on voting. I should really pay more attention to this forum. But I have to throw some love to one of my all-time favorite comics of all time.

Interesting we had the same one. I wonder if it was the most popular or the first or if there was a regional or temporal variation in distribution or what. Looking at pictures of the other models, they don't look familiar to me, but that could just be down to remembering the particular one that I had and played with myself. I think I did know that there were more than one kind. The noise it made when it was moving is very clear in my memory.
