Hey, we hit the goal and are now officially funded! Hurray!
Thanks so much to everyone who has supported me, not just by backing the project, but simply by providing this awesome community. It's been really, really great!
Now I have to figure out what the stretch goals are going to be, and to be honest, I'm struggling a little to come up with something fun and interesting. I'll probably do prints for the first one since that's simple and easy, but for me personally, when I back projects I don't really care about prints. I know some do, so I think it's a value add for some people. But I'd really like to come up with something more fun and cool for backers to really get into - preferably something that thematically ties in with the series.
So let me throw this out there to you guys, the audience I care about most: what would you like? What would you find to be fun or cool? I'm open to any and all ideas, though of course the logistics of actually producing things might prevent me from being able to do any specific one. Still, if you have any ideas at all, let me hear them!

Yeah. Shipping to everywhere is more expensive now! It costs as much to send something to Canada as England now — I could almost drive a copy up to Roquefort Raider and deliver it myself cheaper than mailing it. It's definitely an issue for small creators like me, and for people who want to support me. Ain't that the truth. That's why - as in this case - I usually just pledge for the pdf versions of the various books.

I sure wish there was a cheaper way to mail comic, but there really isn't. Some people send them out media mail within the U.S. but that's actually against the rules of the Post Office, plus it's a great way to get the books wrecked, so I always send things out the regular way.

I've teamed up with some other creators who have projects live on Kickstarter to do some cross promotion, and it's been going okay. Most of that stuff I don't really want to share here, though, because while the projects look fine, it's not necessarily stuff I think would be of particular interest to the CCF as a whole.
But there's one exception that I wanted to share with you, which is a series called The Sentinels. It's right up my alley and I thought some of you might appreciate it as well.
The basic premise is: what would all those abandoned Golden Age public domain superheroes have looked like in the Bronze Age if their titles had never been cancelled?
The first three issues are actually The Sentinels #267-269, and the include references to the stories that took place in those 266 missing back issues. The creative team has even done a bunch of covers for these back issues, and created this whole series mythology to replicate the feeling of picking up a long running superhero team book at a grocery store in the 70's - like Avengers or Justice League - and getting introduced to a whole universe of stories that way.
I've backed myself, but I haven't of course actually read these stories yet, so I can't really vouch for how good the series is. But I just love the premise! Anyway, I thought some of you might dig it too, so here's the link:

I've been under the weather for the past couple of weeks, which has limited my ability to do promotion or whatever for The Crimebusters #2. But, the project is doing well, so I'm happy! I did want to mention that there are just 36 hours left in the campaign, so if you were thinking about picking up a copy of #1 or #2, now's a good time to decide. Either way, no worries, but since I have sold out of some of the variant covers for issue #1 at this point, knowing how many to order will ensure everyone gets what they want! Thanks again for all your support, it really means a lot to me. Here's the weird widget this site automatically turns my link into:

The second issue successfully funded, so thanks again to everyone for your support, it really means a lot to me.
I'm still putting the finishing touches on this issue, but I expect to have it complete around the same time I gett he money from Kickstarter - mid-month - so it should go out to the printer by the end of the month, and I expect everyone will receive their digital copies by the end of March.
I'll keep everyone up to date, but thanks again!!

I just received the physical proof for issue #2! I'll be sending it back for corrections later this week, and so should have the books in hand some time in May. Thanks for the support, everyone! It's very exciting to finally hold this after so many months of hard work.

Savor the awesomeness! Can't wait to read it, Crimebuster, but even just the visual spectacle assaulting my eyes was a treat I won't soon forget!

I hope you all enjoy the issue! And I really appreciate all the support very much.
I'll also need letters for the lettercolumn if anyone feels like becoming the next T. M. Maple!

Finally got to read #2 last night, and it is every bit as good as #1 (well except for the absence of Squeeks but you can't win 'em all). Great Job SH-K!. Fun, light-hearted adventure that was a pleasant diversion in a rough week.
