Big day today, and I'm excited for the influx of new posters we continue to receive, all while conversation remains vibrant and respect trumps all in discussion. What's been accomplished today:- Rules established for the forum, and some important issues concerning our community were addressed and (hopefully) resolved to everyone's satisfaction. - I've toyed with the coding of the site A LOT. If you haven't noticed it, that's a very good thing. if you do happen to notice the forum acting oddly, or if you have further suggestions for what I can do to make the site more intuitive, PM me. Next on my list- Moving over my old reviews threads, and continuing to explore both how to move over other old threads, as well as what the law has to say about it. If this piques your interest, you can lend a helping hand by reading here. What you can do to help- Review The Rules of the Road and provide feedback, if you have any. - Help me keep an eye on things. If someone posts something inappropriate or problematic, use the gear icon/drop down menu at the top right of the post to report it so that I or another mod can check it out asap. - Keep providing suggestions and feedback at The Help Desk - Avoid derailing unrelated threads into discussions about CBR. That's not what this community was created for. - Keep the discussion alive, and keep it "classy" Thanks, guys!

I'm working on saving some of the old European comics discussion threads. Sorting forums by number of replies helps filtering out the spam threads at least.
Oh and rules seem just fine to me. Thanks for doing this shaxper (I believe I hadn't thanked you yet.)
Saved: Both "European Comics"-threads (Classic and CSBG-version), Tin-Tin from the Beginning by the Confessor and David R's X-men and X-factor from the beginning (though the last 2 not completely, I'm vain enough that I stopped saving once we moved past the parts I was involved in).

I assure you I am not keeping track Thanks to you, Dizzy, and to everyone who has participated actively to make this new forum a home, as well as to everyone scrambling to save content from the old forum.

What's coding the site sharper? I had to go into the html code of the site in order to change navigation around a bit. It's how I got the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen. There doesn't seem to be any way to start at the top of the next page, though. It always takes you to the bottom of the next page instead.

Oh ok. I'm kinda clueless on this stuff. Was just curious. Just a question, is this forum able to show the pages by the thread title so you can select a page to go to without having to enter the thread from page one and then go forward?

I was forgetting I was on my mobile and that's a whole different ball game. Thanks again shaxper.

I actually don't have a smartphone, so it's helpful for users to let me know what their experience is when accessing the board in that way. In the future, if you run into problems or have suggestions for ease of use, please feel free to post them at The Help Desk

A very special thank you to MRP and Hoosier X, both of whom have stepped up to help keep things in order as moderators. The old forum never needed much moderation, and I hope we'll get back to that, but the first few days of this transition are going to require more hands-on involvement, as yesterday proved.
Our goal is still to step back and get involved as little as possible.

It's very helpful, and if it had a link to the parent forum it'd be awesome.

I'll see what I can do. It may have to wait until Sunday night. For some reason, that brings up the image of Bart Simpson, in the back of the car, asking "are we there yet?"

Keep up the good work!!

I think a little cursing here and there is part of normal adult conversation. As long as it is not negative or directed at others, I would vote against strict anticursing enforcement.
