In addition to the Mego stuff I grabbed at Target, I also picked up a few other things, mostly form their clearance stuff. I picked up the Funko Uncle Scrooge action figure as Target was clearing them out to make way for the new line of Duck Tales action figures that were Target exclusives... I also picked upa handful of Marvel Pinmates on clearance. These are based on the design of the old Fisher Price wooden people that I had a ton of as a little kid, but instead of generic people are painted as Marvel heroes (and villains). I had picked up the Doctor Strange Pinmate at full price several months back, but found Black Panther Black Widow, Luke Cage, Black Cat and SPider-Woman at clearance prices and grabbed them. They had a few more but they weren't characters I was interested in. Here's Black Widow... Black Cat... Luke Cage... Black Panther... Spider-Woman... and finally (and not on clearance) I picke dup the Doctor Strange action figure from the Infinity War series... -M

Was out and about today, and in Wal Mart saw a new line of articulated Harry Potter dolls/figures form Mattel called The Wizarding World, and since my wife is a huge Harry Potter fan, I picked these two up for her because she was having a bad day at work and surprised her when she got home with them... -M

My wife continues to haunt the clearance toys, and came home with these this morning... she already had the Forces of Destiny Leia with Wicket, but she told me, "now I can display one in each outfit and I have an extra Ewok, plus it was only $8." She usually doesn't go for role play toys, but the Rey staff was only $2. I've created a monster... -M

Over in the Tolkien thread, I mentioned getting a couple of the Toy Biz LTOR figures at a toy shop in Eerie, PA called Actiontoyman, and here's the other toys I picked up while there... three more carded Flash Gordon figures form the 90s animated series line I have most of that line carded and some of the vehicles MIB now. It's a really affordable line even if it's not my favorite Flash Gordon designs, but I do like them. I also picked up two loose figures, both form y wife as they were two of her favorite characters, the 12 inch Green Arrow figure formthe Justice League animated line, and the Ahsoka figure from the Disney Infinity game... at a Target near our hotel at the midpoint of our trip back, I found this new set of the Nanometal minis, the X-Men (looks like the Marvel embargo on X-Men toys is finally over) near that Target was a comic game store and a mall with a Hot Topic, where my wife picked out the following Funko Pops... (the Bombshell Hawkgirl was for me) and on the clearance shelf of the Wal*Mart there she found this... and I found these funky Marvel folders in their back to school section... and these two swaths of fabric in their craft section that we will make something out of... -M

It was a Thanksgiving Miracle. I had given up hope that my package from Amazon was lost and then someone knocked on my door and presented me with the box:

Those are pretty cool, particularly the Joker figure. I haven't seen anything like that here in the UK.

these particular ones are from Sho Murase, and she did 3: Poison Ivy, Catwoman, and Harley. . they are about 6" tall.
there's a regular:
and "holiday" version of each:

Stopped by a vintage toy store I hadn't been to before that was on our way to an errand we were running today and picked up a bag of miscellaneous Micronauts parts... a little closer look... there was a husk of a Microtron and a trio of black missiles... most of the parts for an Ultronic Scooter... most of the parts for a Hydra along with some misc. pieces that were in the bag but aren't Micronaut pieces... There was also an Ollie's out that way, and in addition to some DC trades, I found two figures from the JL Action line I didn't have and never actually saw on the shelves of Walmart or other retailers who carried the line-Green Arrow and Firestorm -M

While I was at WalMart checking out the 100 Page Giant DC books the other day, I ran across these...Batman Black and White mini figs based on the designs of the statues from the line inspired by the mini-series... I hadn't heard about this release, and couldn't find anything about it online. I could see no visible numbering on the outside of the packaging that tells you what's inside the blind bag (like say Imaginext does), so I only picked up a few rather than risking getting a bunch of doubles trying to get all 6. The designs are by Dick Sprang, Darwyn Cooke, Jason Fabok, Patrick Gleeson, Frank Quitely and Amanda Connor. Out of the three I picked up, I got 2 different ones and one double, which my wife claimed for her figure shelf. edit to add- since you can't read the names under the figs on the bag back in the pic: going left to right top row it's Cooke, Gleeson and Connor, bottom row-Fabok, Sprang, Quitley I got the Darwyn Cooke (the one I most wanted) and 2 Jason Fabok's, the Cook fig is on the left, the Fabok on the right... they stand about 3-4 inches tall. Aesthetically, I really like the Batman B&W designs, and though I usually don't do the high end stuff for budgetary reasons, the B&B statues were really tempting. These offer a nice affordable alternative to me (they were about $5 a pop). I may pick up a couple more, especially if I can figure out if their is a packaging code on them. -M

Picked up my first vintage Mego since I started collecting toys again when I was at the show yesterday-it's a loose, somewhat worse for wear Tarzan that only ran me $10... the body suit is a bit rough (with a whole in the foot) and there is a little paint rub on the back of the head, and it was missing the knife, but the body is slid, tight, and sturdy. If I want to clean it up, I can get a replica body suit and knife for a few bucks. -M
