November looks to be a big month for DC with new creative teams. New series. Re-launched series.
Wonder Woman #58. G. Willow Wilson & Cary Nord.
Green Lantern #1. Grant Morrison & Liam Sharp. Focusing on Hal Jordan as a space cop.
Shazam #1. Geoff Johns & Dale Eaglesham. Featuring the Shazam family from the New 52 version.
Aquaman. Kelly Sue DeConnick and Robson Rocha. Premise: Arthur Curry washes up on an island with no memory of who he is.

Haven't been thrilled with Aquaman for a while now and as this new direction seems kind of "meh", maybe this is my chance to jump off.

Grant Morrison might be the first writer to actually make me like Hal Jordan, and I've been wanting a new Shazam book since the excellent back up in Justice League and who could say no to Cary Nord, I loved him on Conan

Good to see a Hal Jordan Green Lantern book. And yes to the Shazam book!

I am looking forward to Wonder Woman. Sounds like an amazing creative team! Green Lantern sounds great too. I usually like Morrison's writing and Sharp can be hit or miss for me. Shazam definitely! I actually liked what Johns did with expanding the Shazam Family in the New 52. As long as he doesn't write Billy as a selfish brat. And I wish he would be Capt Marvel (or even Capt Thunder).
Aquaman... the premise just doesn't interest me. I will probably try one issue.

Looks like Green Lantern will be replacing Aquaman on my pull list.

Yes for Shazam! Morrison on GL may be interesting too.
I just read an article on CBR about a mini-series due out later this fall based on the old title Electric Warriors. It's supposed to bring the age of Kamandi/the Great Disaster into the Rebirth era.

Everything old really is new again. shaxper did that old Electric Warrior review thread make the transition to here or was it lost to time?

We got it right here 😁 Ha, if there is a new mini and it looks interesting, I may need to revisit the original. If I remember correctly I never finished my reviews though I did, barely, manage to read through to the end. It started out with an interesting premise and I liked the world but it went off the rails fast.

Reading more about it at Comics Beat...I think it's going to be a hard pass. The art looks interesting and I like tying the concept into the future of the DCU...but it's written by Steve Orlando, and I've yet to read anything by him that is even remotely pallet-able.

I've been waiting years for Shazam ! Will snap it up immediately.
Will be getting Morrison GL as well but I'm a little hesitant. We'll see.
Besides Shazam, I want the Legion and the JSA back. Hopefully we won't have to wait too long for either.

It would be nice to know who the other artists on GL are going to be. Because commiting on this while fully aware that Sharp won't be able to draw all issues leaves the room open for awkward ooking fill-in art, which I can't suffer anymore.

I'll keep an eye out for the Morrison Green Lantern even though his work with the more popular DC characters usually leaves me cold. But maybe Green Lantern, though a regular Justice League member and generally a pretty well-known DC character, is far enough removed from Superman/Batman levels that Morrison might do something I find interesting with it. At least it has the science-fiction, galactic police force angle. I'm sceptical, though.
