Listening to this outstanding version of Hoyt Axton's Evangelina by Colter Wall. It's the first single off his upcoming album.

Won't Back Down - it plays over the end credits of Fast X. I'm glad the movie is already available on 4K, been playing it quite a lot. The visuals during the song are also nice....

The only thing I liked about the movie 'Halloween Ends' was this little gem that's played in the closing credits. Heard it by chance and quite liked it...

There's a remaster of Jesus Christ Superstar, the original pre-play-production album, that sounds so much better than whatever source my previous mp3s were from

I love that album. Any other new features to this "Deluxe edition" or is it just the remastered sound? I'm interested even if it's just that and nothing else.

I've got the two-disc version, which I don't think has anything extra. There's another version with a third disc of extras. As good as the whole thing, I substitute Alice Cooper's King Herod's Song from the live Easter TV special in place of the original in my music files.

Thanks for the heads up!

As often is the case, my listening the last few days has been partly guided by the era of the book I'm reading now, the early 1990s, so I've been playing:
Damon and Naomi's 1st cd, More Sad Hits (1992) Spiritualized: The Complete Works Volume One Les Wampas - Simple et Tendre (1993)
I'm always surprised that I consistently like Damon and Naomi more than Luna, the other act that came out of Galaxie 500: Luna was the project of the guy who was the driving force behind that band, wrote all the songs, sang them, played guitar, and generally defined their overall sound. And Luna were great but Damon and Naomi, the drummer and bass player respectively, were even better, to my ears.
Spiritualized sounds pretty much like Spacemen 3's last album, Recurring, which is fine with me since that's my favourite of the three or four S3 cds I have. This one starts off with a really nice cover of Anyway That You Want Me, which has been done by several artists in the '60s (Evie Sands, The Troggs), but there's lots of other excellent tracks on this 2-cd collection.
Les Wampas were and still are a French punk band. They've been around since the 1980s but I only learned of them a few months ago through a news journal article on some other topic in which they were mentioned, along with some other French bands of the same era that I will be checking out later. They have great tunes, almost insanely catchy some of them (e.g. Les Bottes Rouges, on this cd), and a strong sense of humour that especially comes out in their videos and live performances. Check them out on youtube, I think you'll be impressed even if you can't follow the French-language lyrics.
