Chick peas and quinoa, with peppers and spring onions, some of my pesto rosso to season it.

Used my new spiral slicer to turn kohlrabi (German turnip) into spaghetti, and served them with a prosciutto, spinach and cream sauce.

I found it a slightly better illusion than the time I did it with zucchini. Both don't have a strong flavor, but the kohlrabi stays more "al dente."

Something yummy from leftover Easter eggs: Polish eggs. I've never heard of Polish Eggs. What are they? They kind of look like a cross between deviled eggs and mini pizzas, which sounds awesome.

You carefully saw them in halves, scrape out the insides. Mash those up and mix them with melted butter and fresh herbs, salt and pepper. (That's what the recipe calls for, but i am sure you want to get creative with stuff like mustard, bacon, pesto etc it would work). Scoop the mix back into the egg shell halves and top with grated cheese and bread crumbs, back in hot oven for 10 minutes.

And other than the sawing egg shells open part (which I let the boyfriend do), it's quite easy to make. (I had some ground oats that were way over expiration date that I put in the bottom of the dish to keep the eggs steady, but we have done it without that in the past).

I harvested some of my home-grown peppers today: And turned them into 2 1/2 jars of hot sauce: The little white ones are habañeros, so you can imagine the potency of this stuff. I'll use it sparingly.
