Because I got the impression I'm not the only one on this board who enjoys cooking. (Note carried over from the previous incarnation of this thread: "Food Porn" refers to pictures and descriptions of food so yummy they turn you on - not pictures of naked people sitting in baked beans etc.) My boyfriend often goes on "low carb" trips and we're constantly discovering new dishes that way, some of which turn out really yummy - like this salad accompanied by eggs "saltimbocca" and eggs in meat balls. Or this honest to goodness low-carb pizza:

So...which thread do we go to for naked people sitting in baked beans?
Because now I'm just so darn curious.

Shax it may not be on this forum but I bet there's somewhere in the internet you can find naked gals in tub of baked beans.
Personally I like ranch style beans.

I'll add something to the topic ... a favorite food of mine that I've made mention of before, topping my pancakes with cottage cheese. Then again just cottage cheese itself I great. I've been known, hungry enough to eat a whole carton straight in one sitting.
I like a lot of Asian food but I'll have to take time to prepare pictures and recipes. One of my favorites is Balti Chicken. I really like curries.

One great thing about not being single anymore has been that it's worth getting the big old wok dirty when you cook for two, so I now usually have oyster sauce and fish sauce in the house to prepare Asian dishes. A favorite is chicken with mango and Thai basil. Or this one: Tiger prawns in hot thai curry sauce.

Today Manhattan had one of its major street fairs. This one on 3rd Ave running for about 3 miles. Both sides of the streets packed with vendors selling all types of products including all varieties of food and drink in just about any nationality as well. Got me a cup of fried ice cream for the first time.

I had an idea last night as I was warming up some Manhattan clam chowder - I could add some hot peppers or hot sauce to it and call the result "Manhattan Project clam chowder".

The weekend is gonna be low-carb again, so I treated myself to some pasta today. "Tris di pasta" : All whole-grain spaghetti. From left to right: (1)In sage butter made with home-grown sage, (2) with my home-made pesto rosso (decorated with home-grown red basil leaves), and with garlic and a home-grown hot chili pepper in olive oil, decorate with a non-hot sweet pepper, also from my window sill. It was very yummy and I hope it helped cure my cold!

Meat pie with Indian spices and a potato-almond crust. Once fresh from the oven with a sald: Once as leftovers with fresh veggies with pumpkin and chili pepper.

Here's the closest stock photo I could find that looks like how my balti chicken turns out. Some aren't so soupy, but that's the way I like it. Dump this on top of some good jasmine rice and everything turns curry gold. I'll try and remember to post the recipe when I get home. It's from this cook book which I have made just about virtually everything. (Except heavy coconut recipes.)

I made my variety of chili this last weekend, since the weather has gotten cooler. It's the one meal that everybody in the family gets really, really excited about. I developed this recipe years ago when I wanted to come up with chili that my wife would like, since she hates beans and overly spicy food. So instead of beans, I decided to make it with two kinds of meat (after some experimenting, settled on cubes of beef roast or steak and ground pork instead of just ground beef). Instead of going for the intense heat that means chili to many, this version is more onion/garlic flavor with chili powder as more of a supporting role. Then we serve it over rice with shredded sharp cheddar on top. Always a hit.
