Haven't read comics in months and months. Started to read stuff in between sets at the gym. Seems like that might be the best time I'll have to actually read something. I've usually stuck with DC as far as newer stuff has been concerned. I don't know why. So I'm wondering what are the best stories/titles to hop onto right now? I have no idea what's been going on. Especially in Marvel. I know something over the summer has been building with Batman right? I think Scott Snyder and Greg Capuillo are back? I liked what I read of their previous stint on Batman. The last thing I read was Batman a few months ago with David Finch on the title and...I can't remember the writer. I think those issues are in the late twenties or early thirties now though. So help me out. Thanks.

This is just my opinion:
DC: The Superman titles, Aquaman & Flash are really good. I also like the Titans & Nightwing. Not a fan of Batman or Justice League right now.
Marvel: Daredevil, ASM: Renew Your Vows & Mighty Thor are my top picks. I liked Dr Strange when Aaron was writing. Not a fan of Capt America right now. A lot may change this fall.

Not much unfortunately. I'd second the above suggestions of Superman/Action, Flash, Thor, & Daredevil, as well as also recommending Old Man Logan, Squirrel Girl, and, surprisingly, Gwenpool.

I read 99% trades. And of those probably 70% are from Image. But I've been trying to support a few titles that I feel are worthwhile digitally.
DC: Bug the Adventures of the Forager is a crazy fun book that is probably a whole lot more fun if you're well steeped in DC history.
Marvel: Nick Fury The art in this book is ungodly amazing. It honestly screams out to be published in tabloid size. The stories have been okay. One and dones with a an underlying arc. But I fear they may get samey unless something changes.
That's probably more "big two" books than I've read at one time in a decade.

Ever since Future Quest and Jeff Lemire's Moon Knight run wrapped up, I haven't been buying anything Big 2 related.
Though I've heard some good things about Abnett's Aquaman and Tomasi/Gleason's Superman. I just don't care for either character.

Mister Miracle #1 was so good I subscribed to it on Comixology. Which is unprecedented for my trade-waiting self.

I missed several issues while I was recuperating form surgery, and wasn't aware it had ended. Our lcs has an anniversary sale coming up, so I might see if I can pick up what I am missing to complete the series. -M

Yeah, Image series are so much easier to follow and certainly the best Image titles are leagues above the best Marvel titles. Plus Volume 1 TPB of most series are ten bucks!

They're doing a couple of spinoff minis, I think. Not sure if I'll rush to buy any of those every month. Probably just wait for the trades to come out.

DC Comics - In my area in speaking of the three LCS that I visited and I've asked nicely what are the top three books for DC Comics right now are ... Aquaman, Superman, and the Titans too.
Marvel Comics - They are as follows: The top 3 are ... Doctor Strange, Mighty Thor, and Daredevil ... coming on strong the X-Men is closing the gap.
I'm referring to the sales receipts of the three stores that I go to.
For myself ... I occasionally read Aquaman, Titans, and Doctor Strange.

Reading very little at the moment that's new, saving money for the down payment on my condo, but I was reading and enjoying Kamandi.
I'm way behind on Rebirth but am anxious to read Superman, Action, Superwoman, and Super-Man.
Will be getting all of DC's Kirby anniversary one-shots, as well as Mister Miracle and Bug the Forager.
Pumped enough I'm picking up the Dark Metal summer series from DC as it sounds pretty cool and Hawkman is supposed to get a big push, so I'm rabidly anxious for it and have really dug what's come out so far.

I read 99% trades. And of those probably 70% are from Image. But I've been trying to support a few titles that I feel are worthwhile digitally. I also do this. I could easily go to a comic shop with $200 to spend on tpbs/HCs and not even make it past the Image section. DC: Bug the Adventures of the Forager is a crazy fun book that is probably a whole lot more fun if you're well steeped in DC history. I'm really looking forward to this coming out in tpb. Heck it, I might even buy the issues digitally, rather than wait.
