A quick question- can I choose a two parter that doesn't equal 40 pages? Some of the comics back in the day only had 17 page stories, So two parts would only equal 34 pages.

Are full write ups required for honorable mention choices? With time constraints, I will have a lot fewer honorable mentions if I hav eto do a write up for each one. -M Full write-ups are required for any work you are listing that hasn't already been chosen by someone else. Essentially, I use member write-ups for the final list, so if no one did a write up for the entry, it doesn't have one and would need to be left off. But if you are pressed for time on the honorable mentions, and someone else has already written something, you can just say "Mrp said it perfectly when he wrote..."NOTE: I have since reversed this decision. Write-ups for honorable mentions are now optional.

Well that wouldn't meet the criteria. Unless you want to make a last minute case for relaxing that requirement, but with all the choices out there of truly awesome works that spanned multiple issues or filled graphic novels from cover to cover, does a 34 page two-parter really hold its own in contrast?

Not a big deal, I'll just choose something else.

I only have about 25 sagas so far. I'm not using mini series and I'm not a big Spider-man fan so that eliminates quite a few choices.

The problem is that there's about a dozen just from the Avengers V.1 alone , And about 7 from Fantastic Four.

I flirted with the idea myself before deciding i could narrow my personal favorites down to two large arcs. See that violates one of my personal criteria...any story, and sagas are stories, has to have some kind of unified voice or vision behind them requiring some continuity in who is creating it. A single writer, artist or editor behind the entire story. So I could go for The Lee/Kirby FF, or Roy Thomas' Avengers, or Englehart's Avengers or Lee/Ditko Spidey or even Stan Lee's Spidey, but I couldn't go Avengers #1-300 because there is no singular voice or vision behind it, so it's not a single story or saga. But that's my personal definition, not bucking for it to be an official one. -M

But I do think the entire run can be depicted as a unified work, not because each installment is written as such, but because each ensuing installment respects and acknowledges what came before.
