Apparently, in a zoo in Atlanta, no less than 13 gorillas contracted Covid from a zookeeper. They're displaying symptoms like runny noses and coughing. I wasn't aware gorillas could get it, but then again they are very closely related to us. I hope the gorillas will all have a speedy recovery! I’m sure they’ll choose to get the vaccine. don't be so sure. it's Atlanta. . . just spent a week there. the % of people NOT choosing to mask up is STUNNING. (I'm talking away from the convention. . at Dragon*con, Mask compliance was spectacular)
. . . but when we did a trip to Publix? maybe 10% of the customers were masked up? And when we went to the liquor store, we literally were the only ones inside masked up - including the entire workstaff - unmasked.
these were both at the Midtown stop - where it's affluent and near the College.
Stupid, Stupid, people live in GA too, and if they won't mask up? they likely aren't vaccinated either.

I’m confident; gorillas are intelligent creatures.

I’m confident; gorillas are intelligent creatures. Then where did we go so wrong as a species?

In local news, a 4 year old kid was mauled to death by a Rotweiller....so I'm keeping mine restricted to private property so the neighbours don't get agitated, even though they see me walking her on a leash. Cops shot the killer-dog too.

Welp I've taken the first few steps towards turning selling off a few vintage rpg items on FB into legitimate self-employment. Met with my banker and opened a business account and retained their merchant services so I can now process credit card purchases through my phone and be able to set up at cons/shows and actually complete transactions. Also agreed to set up at Torg Summit, a gaming/comic show up in Columbus on the 25th. My friend Jesse (Gem City organizer) had two tables but had a commitments and can't make the show, so I am setting up at his tables instead. We'll see how it goes. I have a lot of inventory to process and price in a short amount of time.

Since Facebook is not cutting-edge trend anymore, I fixed it for ya.

I’m confident; gorillas are intelligent creatures. I sometimes jokingly say that the warehouse where I work could fire half our employees and hire gorillas instead, and it would be an improvement. "Jokingly"... =(

The Year of Needles continues with vaccination #5, Shingles II: Booting Zoster from the Roster. The first one had no ill effects at all, but this one was worse than Covid II. I got it yesterday afternoon, and by the time I went to bed, my left arm was pretty much disabled and I already had a 100 degree fever. This morning, the shoulder was a bit better though still unwilling to do much, and my temp was 101.3. Hate the zombie feeling.
