So, what's behind the whole board reset? I was kind of in and out for the last year.

So, what's behind the whole board reset? I was kind of in and out for the last year. A former DC Editor wrote a column for CBR about Teen Titans #1 cover. How it was pretty bad for teenage girls from what I remember. This had a debate start where some angry fans who clearly stepped over the line found her address and all. Threatening her and more. I never posted in the thread and saw how bad it was. It was completely over the line and I can understand why Jonah did what he did there. Greg Hatcher later explained to me why they couldn't do a half measure and I accepted it . But this is the situation where Jonah was likely told what had happened and he got spooked major.

Okay, I remember reading that article and wondered why people were immediately so defensive about it on the boards. I didn't know things blew up to that degree.

Don't people have anything better to do with their lives?
I just read the article and she skewered it from a lot of angles and they were all pretty dead on really.

Don't people have anything better to do with their lives? A comics forum might not be the most appropriate place to ask that question. (Though, yes, you are of course correct.)

I'm sorry, I promise I won't keep it up, but I cannot take the irony. They have a History of CBR thread up right now asking people for stories on the site's history...right after they reset the boards and are about to nuke 10 years of CBR history. Anyway, I'm sure it will settle down. Sorry you got double-banned, Pip. Maybe they saw some of your stuff out of order? I'm going to keep my posting there to a minimum and fairly benign until I see how things shake out over the next couple weeks. I'm pretty disappointed my favorite subs were nuked in the rest and haven't been replaced.

I feel as though I'm one of the 'less affected' members in the wake of this CBR reset, since I was never quite so involved in any of the communities, and I spread my posts around the various sub-forums; but I'm looking at the new forum policy with a wary eye. The initial bans do seem arbitrary and out-of-proportion to me. Sorry I haven't posted much in the more 'on-topic' threads of the new Classics forum so far, you guys; I've honestly had quite a busy weekend, coming on top of CBR's reset and the big move of the Classics Board. (which is also a half-*ssed way of saying I haven't bought/read that many classic comics lately!)

What basically got me banned that Weiland thought he knew better than I when I was being sarcastic or not, and when I told him I found it hurtful of being called a liar after all the years (10?) of participating on the board, I was banned for 5 days. And then that turned into a month some time over the past 24 hours. Maybe he never loved me at all.

While we're on the topic of CBR history, I'd be curious to know the early history of the Classic Comics community, especially now that It's sort of fallen on me to preserve it.
And (I'm really embarrassed to ask this), I've never been clear: were Aaron Kashtan, Lone Ranger, and Sir Tim Drake ALL the same person??

I understand freedom of speech dosn't always apply to message boards but violating the double jeopardy code? Alex Trebek would have a conniption. I've also noticed you can no longer post YouTube videos directly into CBR

I miss what CBR was for me a great place to come in and the variety of boards and people to interact with. I miss that deal. It was the ultimate fun board for us all . Part of me hopes one day that board can return to what it once was. Because I'd hate to think it going down this road where its not fun. Where you can't do comically fun posts and have a bit of nonsense fun . (like me claiming i was abducted by aliens or Chris Brown feels negative emotions are killing him lol)

I didn't you realize were actually joking.
Personally, I think you got done wrong by them. You were always an insightful poster who was fighting the good fight at CBR. Like most of the people who came here, you were one of the people they should have been fighting to keep around, not chase off.
I'd say the same for SuperE, but for totally different reasons.
