#22 Chicken Hawk and Foghorn Leghorn Created By: Looney Tunes ProductionsLast Minute Change: Barnyard Dog as a triple-threat treatFrom Wikipedia (Chicken Hawk / Henery Hawk)Henery Hawk (sometimes misspelled Henry) is a cartoon character from the American Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series, who appeared in thirteen cartoons. His first appearance was The Squawkin' Hawk, directed by Chuck Jones and produced by Leon Schlesinger. From Wikipedia (Foghorn Leghorn)Foghorn J. Leghorn is an American character that appears in the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies cartoons for Warner Bros. Pictures. He was created by Robert McKimson, and starred in 28 cartoons from 1946 in the Golden Age of American Animation. All 28 of these cartoons were directed by McKimson. From Wikipedia for both CharactersFoghorn presumes that this diminutive, naïve troublemaker is no real threat; however, seeing the potential for annoyance, he points & manipulates Henery in the direction of Barnyard Dawg. The remainder of the cartoon is usually consumed by Dawg and Leghorn alternately assuring Henery that the other is a chicken and encouraging him to attack the "chicken" mercilessly. Henery Hawk made a brief cameo appearance in the bleacher scenes of the 1996 film, Space Jam. Barnyard Dog with Foghorn Leghorn From Wikipedia for Barnyard Dog(The) Barnyard Dawg (also known as George P. Dog) is a Looney Tunes character. An adult anthropomorphic basset hound, he is the archenemy of Foghorn Leghorn.[1] He was created by Robert McKimson, who also created Foghorn ,and was voiced by Mel Blanc. Dawg also feuds with other enemies as well like Henery Hawk, the Weasel, Daffy Duck and Sylvester. He appeared in 22 Golden Age–era Warner Bros. shorts. The character of Foghorn Leghorn was directly inspired by the popular character of Senator Claghorn, a blustery Southern politician played by Kenny Delmar who was a regular character on The Fred Allen Show, a popular radio show of the 1940s. The rooster adopted many of Claghorn's catch phrases, such as "That's a joke, ah say, that's a joke, son." Delmar had based the character of Claghorn upon a Texas rancher who was fond of saying this. In 2011, Henery Hawk appeared in a commercial for GEICO along with Foghorn Leghorn. In the commercial, Foghorn was serving as a reader for a "book on tape" version of the Charles Dickens novel A Tale of Two Cities when Henery—sick and tired of Foghorn's ad-libbing—takes a club and hits Foghorn with it off-camera. From Me: I just loved this commercial that GEICO did in 2011. My Personal ThoughtsThese two characters are so good together and I was stunned to realize that they are ranked #22 as a pair and they often drives Barnyard Dog crazy of their antics together and that's makes this cartoon a winner in my book. I wanted to rank both of these characters higher but I can't. In all the cartoons that the Chicken Hawk and Foghorn Leghorn did together that Looney Tunes put together every single one of them is a sure-fire winner and you just can't hate but to love the way these two crazy, insane, wickedly silly characters that literally drives you to the funny farm. I just can't fathom how much I loved these characters together and I was shocked to see them place at #22 together and I admit that I should add Bardyard Dog to the equation because these three characters were so good together that I had to do a change today because I was thinking while I was composing my Personal Thoughts to you. I just loved the antics of Chicken Hawk, Foghorn Leghorn, and Barnyard Dog together and it's like a dream trio of cartoon madness and they all played each other just nicely. A triple treat for all of you here today!

#21 Porky Pig Created by Looney Tunes ProductionsFrom WikipediaHe is known for his signature line at the end of each short, "Th-th-th-that's all folks!" Porky Pig is an animated cartoon character in the Warner Bros. Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of cartoons. He was the first character created by the studio to draw audiences based on his star power, and the animators created many critically acclaimed shorts using the fat little pig. Porky's most distinctive trait is a severe stutter, for which he sometimes compensates by replacing his words; for example, "What's going on?" might become "What's guh-guh-guh-guh—...what's happening?" My Personal ThoughtsThis character is by far the most difficult character to rank because I had a very difficult time placing this wonderful pig in this countdown and I spent a good 2-3 days deciding where to place this lovable pig that captured the American Audiences for years and years. His signature ending "That's all folks" was placed in pretty much all the Looney Tunes Cartoons and even the ending of "What's Up Doc" one of the funniest movies ever made in the 70's of which Ryan O'Neal teamed up with Barbra Streisand that's cemented his wide appeal to all generations to come. Ending of What's Up Doc - O'Neal and Streisand Classic - 1972 Film Very beloved, one of my personal favorites and one of the most iconic character ever graced in animated history and one of my favorite cartoons is which he starred in Ali Baba Bound shown below: This is a 1940 Cartoon and it's considered one of the best Porky Pig Cartoon ever and the reason for it was done in a masterstroke fashion that cemented in everybody minds of that day and generations to come. My grandparents loved cartoons and this cartoon made in 1940 is one that they talked about the most. Porky Pig is pure comedic genius and Looney Tunes got this character down to science and one of the characters that doesn't matter how old you are - you will loved it anyway. I loved the way he stuttered, charmed his way in the cartoon itself, and most importantly making friends everywhere he goes.

#20 Atom Ant Created By: Hanna Barbara ProductionsFrom WikipediaAtom Ant is a cartoon ant and superhero, created by Hanna-Barbera in 1965. Atom costarred in The Atom Ant/Secret Squirrel Show (sharing top billing with Secret Squirrel). In syndication ... His powers mostly consisted of the ability to fly, superspeed, incredible strength, and invulnerability. His catchphrase was "Up and at 'em, Atom Ant!" He was often contacted by the police, who sent him out on an assignment. Some of these missions parodied the missions of Batman. The police force was constantly shown to be underfunded and inept, as they relied on Atom Ant to do all their police work. From Me: He is like a combination of Superman and Batman all rolled into one with a twist. My Personal ThoughtsI did not watch much of Atom Ant when I was growing up but I sure loved this cartoon when I get a chance to see it and it's was a combination of Batman (Secret Cave via Ant Hill) and Superman (Strength, Flight, etc) and a little of Super Friends of where a Police Chief contact him similar to the Super Friends Trouble Alert. It's a fairly simple cartoon and even a young child can figure out what's going on and I wished I have seen this show more and I did not see much of Atom Ant / Secret Squirrel of where Atom Ant got the top billing. Sad to say this that Secret Squirrel is not on my list of 50 of my Favorite Saturday Morning Cartoon Characters. He's brave, resourceful, dependable, and loyal to the police and doesn't mind doing all the work because loved to. Great Cartoon of Atom Ant

#19 Donald Duck Created By: Walt Disney ProductionsFrom WikipediaDonald Duck is a cartoon character created in 1934 at Walt Disney Productions. Donald is an anthropomorphic white duck with a yellow-orange bill, legs, and feet. He typically wears a sailor shirt and cap with a black, red or blue bow tie. Donald is most famous for his semi-intelligible speech and his mischievous and temperamental personality. Along with his friend Mickey Mouse, Donald is one of the most popular Disney characters and was included in TV Guide's list of the 50 greatest cartoon characters of all time in 2002. The origins of Donald Duck's name may have been inspired by Australian cricket legend Donald Bradman. In 1932 Bradman and the Australian team were touring North America and he made the news after being dismissed for a duck against New York West Indians. Walt Disney was in the process of creating a friend for Mickey Mouse when he possibly read about Bradman's dismissal in the papers and decided to name the new character "Donald Duck".[7] Voice performer Clarence Nash auditioned for Walt Disney Studios when he learned that Disney was looking for people to create animal sounds for his cartoons. My Personal ThoughtsOne of the most beloved Disney Character that was a perfect partner for Mickey Mouse and his friends and I loved this Duck when he teamed up with Pluto. These two were inseparable and were a great fit for each other in all Disney Animated Cartoons. I loved the idea that they put on a Sailor Shirt and a Cap that made him a household word and one of the longest cartoon characters in existence and I hold dear to his wonderful mannerisms that made him truly a delight to all his fans. His short-tempered attitudes were attributes of Sailors and Ducks and took on many of interests of man that lived by the seas. He's quite humorous, fun to watch, and have a zest of doing the right thing and saying that made him extremely loyal to his girlfriend Daisy Duck, his best friend Mickey Mouse, Pluto, and pretty much the entire Disney Gang. He has a large following and a perfect Disney Character that appeals to children of all ages and adults too. You just can't go wrong with a Duck of his caliber. I just loved Donald Duck!

#18 Mickey Mouse Created By: Walt Disney ProductionsFrom WikipediaMickey Mouse is a funny animal cartoon character and the official mascot of The Walt Disney Company. He was created by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks at the Walt Disney Studios in 1928. An anthropomorphic mouse who typically wears red shorts, large yellow shoes, and white gloves, Mickey has become one of the world's most recognizable characters. He went on to appear in over 130 films, including The Band Concert (1935), Brave Little Tailor (1938), and Fantasia (1940). Mickey appeared primarily in short films, but also occasionally in feature-length films. Ten of Mickey's cartoons were nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film, one of which, Lend a Paw, won the award in 1942. In 1978, Mickey became the first cartoon character to have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. From Me: My Favorite Disney Movie was Fantasia and it's still is. Made back in 1940. My Personal ThoughtsI'm appalled that I had this lovable Disney Cartoon Character at #18 because of his legacy and longevity he deserved better ranking than the one that I gave him for today. I don't own a Superman Watch, neither a Batman Watch, and any kind of a watch - unless it is a Mickey Mouse Watch that I got on my trip to Disneyland in 1987 of which it is nearly 30 year old and keeps on ticking away in style. Mickey Mouse is so friendly, adorable, kind, and most of one of the most entertaining Disney Characters of all time and one of the most beloved. My older brothers watch the Mickey Mouse Club from 1955 to 1959 faithfully and I wasn't even born yet and combined that with other proprieties Original Mickey Mouse Club MembersIt was this show that propelled Mickey Mouse to more popularity than ever before and most importantly made a household star of his own rights. Annette Funicello was one of the most popular Mouseketeers! Pictured on the left side of this photograph here. It's amazing to know that his mere existence is an instant winner among kids of all alike every time I go to Disneyland he is mobbed by kids everywhere wanting to see Mickey Mouse in Person and one of many things that my nieces and nephews said to me that this character whether he's animated or not is still the most popular character that Walt Disney ever created. I just loved Mickey Mouse!

#17 Mighty Mouse Created By: TerryToons / 20th Century FoxFrom WikipediaMighty Mouse is an American animated anthropomorphic superhero mouse character created by the Terrytoons studio for 20th Century Fox. The character appeared first in 1942 (originally named Super Mouse) and subsequently in 80 theatrical films between 1942 and 1961. These films appeared on American television 1955 through 1967 Saturday mornings on the CBS television network. The character was twice revived, by Filmation Studios in 1979 and in 1987 by animation director Ralph Bakshi, who had worked at the Terrytoons studio during his early career. The character was originally conceived by Paul Terry. Created as a parody of Superman, he first appeared in 1942 in a theatrical animated short titled The Mouse of Tomorrow. Originally named Super Mouse, after seven films 1942-1943, he was renamed Mighty Mouse The Wreck of the Hesperus (1944), after Paul Terry learned that another character named "Super Mouse" was to be published by Marvel Comics My Personal ThoughtsI had even more difficult time to place this character too; and having said that I have a love/hate relationship with this character of which I believe it is a cheap knockoff of Superman but in reality I should had promoted Atom Ant to this level because the character is more believable than Mighty Mouse. Mighty Mouse is one of the most popular characters in animation history and having the appeal of Superman built in was very popular among young girls and boys between the ages of 6 to 10. I learned of that years ago when I attended a seminar on Cartoon Animation in Vancouver B.C. back in 1992. In retrospect, this character has lots of heart, soul, and most importantly his ability to save the day and it's clearly shows that in the cartoon entitled "A Fight to the Finish" of which I found that cartoon in You Tube Land and it's one of the many classics of which Mighty Mouse starred in all the time that this cartoon series was produced by TerryToons. My family and I did not watch much of Mighty Mouse and I wished I did. But, I had fond memories when I did watch this lovable character and I feel that this character warrants a ranking of #17 let alone that I feel that Atom Ant deserved better at #20. So, be it ... Mickey Mouse at #17.

#16 Penelope Pussycat Created By: Looney Tunes ProductionsFrom WikipediaPenelope Pussycat is an animated cartoon character, a cat featured in the Warner Bros. classic Looney Tunes animated shorts as the protagonist of the Pepe Le Pew shorts. Although she is typically a non-speaker, her "meows" and "purrs" (or "le mews" and "le purrs") were most often provided by Mel Blanc using a feminine voice. Penelope Pussycat is best known as the often bewildered love interest of Looney Tunes' anthropomorphic skunk, Pepé Le Pew. Penelope is a typical black and white pussycat, though by some means or another, she often finds herself with a white stripe down her back, whether painted intentionally or (mostly) by accident. From Me: This cat has the cutest eyes in animation history. My Personal ThoughtsSimple adorable, charming, full of innocence, delightful, cute, and most importantly one of the nervous feline animated characters around because she has to be on guard at all times and unfortunately gets captured by Pepe Le Pew a skunk with romance in his heart. I just loved this cat for a lot of reasons and it's delight to watch the lovable antics of Penelope trying her best to avoid Pepe at all cost and having said that she fights and eventually gives up and hopefully escape the charms of one Pepe Le Pew altogether. It was one of my own Father favorite cartoon characters and he often laughed of the crazy romantic adventures that this cat that has no business into the arms of Pepe. My whole family just can't enough of it and we often dropped our chores and watch this cartoon whenever possible and I usually the only family member that acts like a television monitor when this cartoon comes on and I informed the whole family to come in and watch this together for a mere 4-8 minutes when it's does. I had a hard time placing this character and to me a ranking of #16 is nothing to be ashamed of. Up next is Pepe Le Pew at #15 and I will share some thoughts about this amorous skunk shortly at #15.
