#32 Rocky Created by: Jay Ward ProductionsFrom Me: I will do Number 31 on Sunday. From WikipediaRocky voice is from June Foray. "Bullwinkle and Rocky Fan Club", a series of abortive attempts by Rocky and Bullwinkle to conduct club business. The fan club consists only of Rocky, Bullwinkle, Boris, Natasha, and Captain Peter Peachfuzz. These shorts portray the characters as somewhat out of character. From Me: I just loved Rocky in these short features and it's one of the best part of the show that I liked the most. From WikipediaThe show was broadcast for the first time on November 19, 1959, on the ABC television network under the title Rocky and His Friends twice a week, on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, following American Bandstand at 5:30 p.m. ET, where it was the highest-rated daytime network program. The show moved to the NBC network starting September 24, 1961, broadcast in color, and first appeared on Sundays at 7 p.m. ET, just before Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color. Bullwinkle's ratings suffered as a result of airing opposite perennial favorite Lassie. Ward wanted to produce the show in Los Angeles; however, Anderson lived in the San Francisco Bay Area and did not want to relocate. As a result, Ward hired Bill Scott as head writer and co-producer at Jay Ward Productions, and who wrote the Rocky and Bullwinkle features. Ward was joined by writers Chris Hayward[18] and Allan Burns; the latter eventually became head writer for MTM Enterprises. In a 1982 interview, Scott said, "I got a call from Jay asking if I’d be interested in writing another series, an adventure script with a moose and a squirrel. I said, 'Sure.' I didn’t know if I could write an adventure with a moose and a squirrel, but I never turned down a job." From Me: A little background information about the show itself. My Personal ThoughtsMy opinion about Rocky the Squirrel is that Rocky was lovable, sweet, a real attention grabber, and one of the most interesting character that ever graced the television screen in late 50's and early 60's. I did not think highly of this show when I first watched it in reruns around 1965 before Adam West's Batman Television Series came on and by this time - I fell in love with Rocky the Squirrel and his great sidekick Bullwinkle that changed my opinion of this classic cartoon series. I just wanted to tell you that I find this one of the greatest cartoons that gets credibility from all critics that watch it. It was a family orientated cartoon and it's one of the rare cartoon that both boys and girls can watch. I just feel that this cartoon is still relevant today and I think that today generation can learned from it and at the same time can enjoy the humor that this cartoon can bring. My Mother who passed away in 2012 always watch this cartoon on local station for 30 minutes after the Noon News is over during the time I was in High School in the late 70's and constantly recap the cartoon back to me like I remembered it back in time in 1965 in reruns that my family watched together. I can still remember bits and pieces of what she said to me and it's sad to know that my memory isn't that sharp that used to be. It's amazing cartoon series and I feel bad about ranking Bullwinkle at #33 and Rocky at #32. Anyway, this cartoon character is a great one and I just wanted to share all this information about Rocky!

#31 Boo Boo Bear Created by: Hanna Barbara ProductionsFrom WikipediaBoo-Boo Bear is a Hanna-Barbera cartoon character on The Yogi Bear Show and Yogi's constant companion. Boo-Boo is portrayed as an anthropomorphic bear cub wearing a blue bow tie. Boo-Boo often acts as Yogi Bear's conscience. He tries (usually unsuccessfully) to keep Yogi from doing things he should not do, and also to keep Yogi from getting into trouble with Ranger Smith.[1] Often he would say "But Yogi, Mr. Ranger isn't gonna like this," or some variation. It is not readily apparent whether Boo-Boo is a juvenile bear with a precocious intellect or simply an adult bear who is short of stature. However, in the episode "Cub Scout Boo-Boo", Yogi tries to persuade Boo-Boo to become a Boy Scout. Boo-Boo declines the offer, but Yogi corrects him by saying that he will be joining the "Cub Scouts", which Boo-Boo would obviously accept. My Personal ThoughtsI adore this lovable cartoon character that constantly reminding Yogi Bear that he's getting into trouble with Ranger Smith and that's the main theme of this character itself. Boo Boo is a great sidekick to Yogi and one of the most beloved one indeed; of which all of us can enjoy his antics on the cartoon show itself. His voice is fabulous and according to Wikipedia it's the legendary voice himself Don Messick of which I was very happy to know that because his voice was very distinctive and crisp. My whole family grew up watching a lot of Yogi Bear cartoons and we can just can't get enough of them in. I just wanted to point out that Boo Boo Bear is one of the legends in animated cartoons and one of the very few that all of us can enjoy watching when we can. I had a hard time ranking him at #31. Great You Tube ClipFabulous You Tube and it's a dandy at 3 minutes long!

#30 Yogi Bear Created by: Hanna Barbara ProductionsFrom WikipediaYogi Bear is a cartoon character who has appeared in numerous comic books, animated television shows and films. He made his debut in 1958 as a supporting character in The Huckleberry Hound Show. From Me: I did not know that he was a supporting character on the Huckleberry Hound Show. This is came to a surprise to me. From WikipediaYogi Bear was the first breakout character created by Hanna-Barbera and was eventually more popular than Huckleberry Hound.[1] In January 1961, he was given his own show, The Yogi Bear Show, sponsored by Kellogg's, which included the segments Snagglepuss and Yakky Doodle. Hokey Wolf replaced his segment on The Huckleberry Hound Show. A musical animated feature film, Hey There, It's Yogi Bear!, was produced in 1964. Picture of Hokey WolfHe was great but their is no love for him in this countdown and I had a hard time leaving him out. My Personal ThoughtsOf all the cartoons that Hanna Barbara created this one is one of the most iconic of all times and I was surprised to see that this character became more and more popular than Huckleberry Hound and other Hanna Barbara creations. Having reside in Jellystone Park an animated version of Yellowstone National Park - this character is one of the best of what he does best - stealing Picnic Baskets giving Ranger Smith headaches after headaches of the things that he does to drive him crazy and that the beauty of this wild and crazy character that been a staple of Hanna Barbara in the early days of animated cartoons. His voice (according to Wikipedia) was no other Daws Butler. Daws Butler and Don Messick were perfect together - Don Messick was the voice of Boo Boo Bear and being Hard of Hearing Child - I was treated like gold when these two voice actors did the voices of Yogi and Boo Boo Bear. They were godsend to me because their voices were like gems and I had no problems understanding them back then and even today. I will be sharing a great clip of Yogi Bear and this is so good! It's two minutes long and it's fantastic!

#29 Hippety Hopper Created by: Warners Bros/Looney TunesFrom WikipediaHippety Hopper cartoons have a typical formula: Hopper escapes from a zoo, circus, etc., and is mistaken for a giant mouse by Sylvester the cat. Frequently, Hopper changes places with an actual mouse, generally when it is most embarrassing for Sylvester. Sylvester tries to capture and eat his "prey", but the innocent and infantile Hippety mistakes Sylvester's predations for a game of rough-housing. Sylvester is repeatedly punched, kicked, juggled, spun, and pounced, but each failure only strengthens his desire to have the "mouse" for lunch. My Personal ThoughtsOne of my favorite cartoons is Lighthouse Mouse that was made back in 1955 of where a mouse wants more than anything to have the light of a lighthouse turn off and this is a true hilarious cartoon that I enjoy watching the other day. Lighthouse MouseThis cartoon character is paired best with Sylvester the Cat for good riddance and it's one of the funniest series of cartoon history of where Sylvester meets a mouse, a normal mouse and trying to find a way to capture it and soon he did this this baby Kangaroo shows up and to an horrified look of Sylvester - he now fighting a Giant Mouse that's more than capable of giving him total discomfort and a beating that he's never forget. I just find these cartoons fast paced, crazy and hilarious, and most of all funny to the funny bone! Hippety Hopper appeared in 14 animated cartoons and it's a real joy watching him doing all the funny things that he does and being a baby kangaroo is so clever that it's played a perfect foil for Sylvester the Cat and among other things. He's great for both boys and girls to watch and it's also a great cartoon for family alike. My next cartoon is Hippety Hopper is the 1949 classic Hippety Hopper and it's one of my favorites as well. This is so funny and I wanted to share this cartoon too. Great Picture of Hippety Hopper, Sylvester the Cat, and his Son.

#28 Heckle and Jeckle Created by: TerryToons Animated StudiosFrom WikipediaThe characters are a pair of identical anthropomorphic magpies who calmly outwit their foes in the manner of Bugs Bunny, while maintaining an aggressively mischievous streak reminiscent of the early Woody Woodpecker or Screwy Squirrel. Unlike Bugs Bunny, who retaliates against a foe only after repeated provocation, their comic aggression is often unprovoked, and in a number of Heckle and Jeckle cartoons their foes win in the end. According to Leonard Maltin's Of Mice and Magic: A History of American Animated Cartoons (1980) and Don Markstein's Toonopedia, Paul Terry considered the Heckle and Jeckle series his studio's best cartoons. My Personal ThoughtsThese two magpies are the one of the funniest birds in animation history and they are a joy to watch and I'm very sad to place them this low in the rankings and because of that - I'm shocked that they are in this area. They are so wild, unpredictable, cracking, delivering wise-cracks that makes me laugh every single time. I just loved the way they play after each other and most of all making it even more funnier each passing minute and at the end of the cartoons they ended up winning by a country mile that often put their adversaries to shame. Like Wikipedia earlier they are so aggressive in their own charm that it's made them so popular with all walks of life that it was a genius on the part of Paul Terry that made this cartoon in TerryToons Animated Studios. My whole family enjoyed Heckle and Jeckle so much that they simply can't get enough of those crazy and mischievous magpies that makes you smile while you watch these short 6 to 7 minutes cartoons that are so fast paced that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Anyway, I just adore these magpies don't you? This is my favorite Heckle and Jeckle Cartoon of All Time
