So what do you enjoy if you drink alcoholic beverages?
My wife told me last night my brother in law (her sister's husband) is in Korea for his job and asked what I wanted him to bring back for me. I said soju. So in 3-4 months when he returns to the states I am going to have some soju to try. I've never had any. I've had some Korean beers but that's it.
Last night I bought some Dos Equixos Amber while I was at the grocery store and drank that. I always like Samuel Smith's beers, Oatmeal Stout and Taddy Porter being my favorites. Beers I like are usually dark heavy and malty.
Wines, I like red and dry. Don't care for sweet wines unless it's fortified wine like occasional Mad Dog. I usually like brand specific blends but also Pinot noir and petite shira (sp?). There's a Chileian wine blend too but the name escapes me. It's on the higher priced end of the spectrum so I don't buy it often.
Only on very very rare occasions do I partake in liquor anymore. I certainly never stock it at home.

I like hard ciders. My original "go to" was Woodchuck Cider, which my friends and I had to drive to Ohio to get (Pennsylvania used to have some weird rules about selling hard cider, so we road-tripped to pick up cases of it at a time). There are so many of them on the market now, and I can enjoy pretty much any of them without too much trouble.
As far as liquor goes, I enjoy the occasional spiced rum with Doctor Pepper. I used to go with Captain Morgan, but I have been drinking Bacardi Oakheart more recently.
I've never been a wine fan, and I'll only drink beer on rare occasions. Can't stand IPAs, but I do like a nice wheat beer.

I'm a beer man, especially ales and Belgian whites.

I drink a lot of beer. And by beer I mean micro-brews. I'm partial to stouts and porters, but I really like good beer pretty much across the board. While I"m not actually a hop-head, I don't mind seriously hoppy beers as long as they aren't overboard.
I also drink a fair amount of bourbon, which I supplement with rye (which was virtually impossible to find until about a year ago) and scotch. Maker's Mark is my go-to bourbon, though I also drink Woodford, Knob Creek and Buffalo Trace. I love scotch, but it's very expensive since I only drink single malt. On the other hand I wouldn't give two squirts of piss for all the Canadian whiskey in the world.
I drink a fair amount of gin. Mostly in martinis and gin & tonics. I'm partial to Bombay Sapphire.
I have no interest in wine. It just doesn't do anything for me. And I don't really have any great interest in any other liquors.

I liked gin (still do) a lot too Slam back when I did drink liquor. Nothing like a simple OJ & gin. Old Crow was a favorite bourbon of mine. And the occasional brandy.

Cheap wine and cheap champagne, occasionally Patron Silver in a margarita or something. I think I might be done with tequila for a while though, got sick off it about two weeks ago.

I've never had champagne. The fact that I couldn't stomach Riesling has kept me from trying any other white wines.

Don't drink nearly as much beer as I did before, since in Wyoming you can only buy beer in liquor stores, and I usually don't feel like making the extra trip. I like Sam Adams Cherry Wheat, Dixie Blackened Voodoo Lager, and once in a while a good stout, usually with a meal. Used to do a lot of Captain Morgan and Dr Pepper, or tequila and seven. Recently tried Jim Beam's Devil's Cut, which I like a lot. The wife likes wine, so we'll have some of that now and again. Never saw why champagne was such a big deal.

Don't drink much anymore since I left New England, but when I did if I drank beer it was usually Guinness or Bass Ale on tap (usually as a black and tan; I prefer beer on tap not bottled and definitely never in a can) or a micro-brew. I do enjoy a lot of Belgian ales, particularly Trappist brews that are available.
If I was drinking liquor-single malt Scotch or Irish Whiskey was the preference, though a good aged Bourbon is acceptable. In summer Gin and tonics and in winter Irish Coffey or Bailey's (straight or in coffee or cocoa).
I've also sampled a number of liqueurs, some I like, some not so much, but I would enjoy sampling with friends and colleagues.
If I am drinking wine, I prefer dessert wines like a good Port, not so much wines with a meal. Can't stand blush wines though.
I do like mead though, but usually home-made versions as a lot of commercially available meads are not good.
Partaking was usually more of a social event rather than an end in and of itself-I never drink alone and rarely drink at home unless we are entertaining (which happens rarely these days), so it's quite possible my tastes are different now.

I remember drinking Cherry Wheat a lot back around my pre legal days. I'd get off work and one manager would sell it to me and I thought that would be one I'd like. Didn't know they still made it. And I'm in the same boat in Oklahoma with liquor stores. Thankfully there's one close. Just got back from there actually with some Samuel Smith oatmeal stout and some Stroh's.

Mrp's post reminded me that I forgot to mention Bass Ale (love it!), and also like him, I'm strictly a bottle man, and drink what's on tap when I'm out.

And any issue of Age of Apocalypse. I also like Bass. Especially for making a black & tan with Guiness.
