Death Metal.
But these days I prefer Adele and Lana Del Rey to Cannibal Corpse.
Still wear gothic black quite often....which reminds me, got to polish my toes with some NARS Black Fire....

SPAMBelieve me, I ate a can of this stuff on a weekly basis in Sandwiches for School ... and on weekends at home.

Besides that, there are at least a half dozen things on that list that are still cool (and I thought were cool when I was a teen too). -M

Velcro is alien technology recovered from the 1947 Roswell crash and then absorbed into every day life. Think about it: no human being could ever invent velcro. The truth is out there.

I haven't worn a tie in years but if I ever do have to wear one there's a fair chance it might be a narrow tie, since I think that's all I have left and I don't mind the way they look. They're actually back in style, I learned a couple of weeks ago when I found myself forced to go out & buy one for a couple of funerals. I wound up with a much thinner tie (because of how the color scheme went with my shirt & suit) than I ever wore back in the late '80s, when I had to wear one every day for work.

And you're right, I miss them all. PS: You forgot sleepovers at the Flintstones'.

How are these not awesome?! I wasn't even born when those two albums came out and I thought they were awesome when I was in my late teens, let alone in yours! I still think they're pretty great records...especially the Iron Butterfly one. And "getting it together in the country, man" with some winsome hippie chicks and a shed load of pot sounds great (though the reality may be a bit different, I'll grant you). Shame on you for betraying your hippie generation, Hal. Let your freak flag fly, brother! Key words there are "late teens," which we all remember with equal parts sadness, joy, and embarrassment. "Hey, man, I hear 'In-AGadda-Da-Vida' really means 'In the Garden of Eden.' Heavy." Yeah, I dig the photo of Flower, Sunshine, Rainbow and Candlewax and their parents Earth and Seaspray, but keep in mind... (a) the smell in there would kill ya; (b) Earth is still doing all the child-rearing (notice the indifferent look on Seaspray's phiz); (c) they moved back in with Earth's parents and went into finance after Altamont changed the vibe; and (d) they're all voting for Trump. Don't bogart my memories.

And my Grandparents got rid of their party line when I was a kid. We didn't, but others did. Also, up till maybe the mid-70s, in at least one town nearby, you only had to dial the last four digits of a local number and not the 3-digit exchange.
