I ordered some rare live recordings taken directly from the soundboard so quality is exceptionally high. These aren't official label cds but sometimes, they look and sound better than what SONY or Warner churns out, down to the booklets and design artwork inside. (Some bonafide remastered cd sounds awful). So I placed an order from Finland and got a package mailed from Russia? Putin digs Duran Duran. Quality is still awesome. You can't beat a good sounding, well produced bootleg of your favourite band. One day I should count up just how many bootlegs I own of various bands like The Beatles, Stone Roses, Donovan, Grateful Dead, Rolling Stones, Paul Simon etc, but I bet there's easily a hundred of them in my collection...probably more. I don't own any Duran Duran ones though. Although I did see an Arcadia one once, rounding up different mixes/versions of some of their songs, that tempted me.

I drink diet soda. Growing up with a mother who was a type I diabetic, sugared anything was rarely allowed in my house. I can hardly handle regular soda, ever, and I only drink enough diet soda to get the caffeine boost in the afternoon. So, about 4 oz. Or so a day. Trouble is with diet soda, as far as I'm concerned the aspartame in most of them is far more dangerous and damaging to your health than the huge amounts of sugar in regular soda. I tend to just drink regular soda on an infrequent basis, rather than let rip on diet drinks, because I really don't like the idea of putting aspartame in my body. Soda! Can't believe I just called it soda. Damn you yanks and your pervasive culture...they're called "fizzy drinks". Or, if you're old or from the north, "pop".

Sugared soda just tastes awful to me, and it makes my mouth feel dirty. Heh, we call it "pop" here in the midwest US. lol. I only called it "soda" in my replies because everyone else was.

Someone did that to me when I first moved to Oklahoma.
"Adam can you get me a coke when you go to 7-11?" *gets back and hands person fountain Coke* "Why did you get me this? I wanted a Dr Pepper?" *throws up hands* "Wth?"

If so people should stop picking on Uwe Boll for a minute and start lambasting this as the worse movie ever made. (And to keep with the subject of the thread.) There I said it.

And I didn't mean to sound like I was throwing you under the bus. I was more mad at myself for sitting through this and trusting the opinion of the person that told me it was good, after all the other terrible horror movies I've fallen for watching trusting his opinion. People like different things, I ain't got no beef if you like it. And I had forgotten that was even in the movie. So at least it had one redeeming scene. :-)

Oh, no worries! I did not take that personally at all. ♡
My husband and I quote that scene just about anytime someone says "coke" to describe any fizzy flavored beveraged. lol

Slither was quite good. Not everyone can appreciate horror with -- or for that matter without -- a humorous twist, obviously.
