According to Wikipedia, listing the works of Robert E. Howard :
The Land of Mystery (1987) – Copyrighted in the United States until 2083(That's just an example of a Howard story). How a story written by somebody who died in 1936 can be copyrighted by someone else 51 years after his death is something I find very bizarre. I would think that if allowing the children of an author to benefit from his creations is a good idea, a period of 50 years should be quite sufficient to cover that... and Howard died unmarried and without offspring anyway. This doesn't strike me as a case of protecting someone's intellectual property, but protecting someone else's source of profit. There! I said it. Copyright has long since stopped being about providing for the livelihood of artists and their progeny and has become a means for multi-national corporations to fill their coffers. |

Anchovies are the best pizza topping. What's even better no one in the house likes them. My oldest tried it last night and had the Planet Express crew reaction lol. So I devoured it like Zoidberg.

This topic makes me miss duPont I should have said anchovies are the best American pizza topping. From at least the one authentic Italian pizza I've had, American pizza is about as Italian as Taco Bell is Mexican food. |
