Wow. This thread has taken a serious turn it seems. Well, to change the subject (but not really), here is probably one of the best songs and videos on the planet. Never have I seen such a great, EXACT visual for a song in my entire life. "And now another clue, I would ask If you could help me out It's hard to understand 'Cause when you're running by yourself It's hard to find someone to hold your hand""See you on a dark night"!There. I SAID IT!

Bring back Cyclops. All the other X-Men are no more than his supporting characters.
There! I said it.

The Cyclops of the present is currently dead, but the young Cyclops who came forward in time to the present with the other original X-Men is still alive.

X-Men used to be my favorite Marvel series, but based on what I hear about it, I'm less interesting in trying out the X-books than a slew of other Marvel titles. Turning Cyclops evil and killing him off sounds like bad fan fiction.

We don't know the circumstances of his death yet. So it wasn't when Doom killed him in Secret Wars?

We don't know the circumstances of his death yet. So it wasn't when Doom killed him in Secret Wars? No, he died again after the universe was reset (or that's what a few characters have been saying). Apparently the reborn Cyclops took on the Inhumans for one reason of the other in a way that made mutants look bad, and died in the process. Somehow I doubt that the death of a major character, happening off-screen like that, will hold for very long. (I also hope it won't!)

According to Wikipedia, listing the works of Robert E. Howard :
The Land of Mystery (1987) – Copyrighted in the United States until 2083
(That's just an example of a Howard story).
How a story written by somebody who died in 1936 can be copyrighted by someone else 51 years after his death is something I find very bizarre. I would think that if allowing the children of an author to benefit from his creations is a good idea, a period of 50 years should be quite sufficient to cover that... and Howard died unmarried and without offspring anyway.
This doesn't strike me as a case of protecting someone's intellectual property, but protecting someone else's source of profit.
There! I said it.

That's just it. He was so handsome that none of the other mutants (or Inhumans for that matter) could compete, and so they killed him. I blame Darwin. (The scientist, not the mutant).

Doom was, yeah. We're talking about Cyclops, though.

I am ashamed of the way two security affairs are being treated in Montreal. On the one hand, there was a riot a few days ago that led to a small police station being vandalized and a car being burned. Because this happened in a "delicate" neighbourhood, the police showed extreme restraint and is even now refraining from arresting a few suspects belonging to a group affiliated with the Bloods, since that would be immediately construed as a racist act and would lead to more rioting. That decision strikes me as sensible, and shows that at least a few people in charge prefer to think things through rather than barge in and declare "I am the law".
On the other hand, elsewhere in town, a trio of young guys filmed themselves traveling through the city's underground, visiting maintenance corridors, metro tunnels and old sewers, none of which are open to the public. They put their little adventure on Youtube and were identified, and are now not only facing fines but possibly criminal charges. Come on... That deserves a slap on he wrist, if anything, and nothing more.
As a song from the band Mes aieux says: "they'll only arrest you if you're not scary".
