This is probably my favorite image of WW that isn't something like Egg Fu or marrying an alien:

The 2009 cartoon was solid. I don't love it like Travis does, but if they used that as a model for a movie, I wouldn't mind. I don't think Steve Trevor should hold his own against multiple Amazons though, but that's just me.

I read the five part 1987 relaunch by Perez. Some of the best art I've seen. The story was pretty interest. Especially first couple of issues without Diana. I enjoyed the Greek mythos and seeing her mother rise to be the leader of the women on the island. I'm planning on continuing past the initial relaunch issues.
By the way, Lynda Carter was ridiculously hot as Wonder Woman. Before my time, but I could certainly appreciate her beauty. Even my mother remembers Lynda Carter for her role in Wonder Woman and she's not into comic books or superheroes at all.

I used to have the first 24 issues of the Perez run (the part he wrote and drew)and loved it when I first read it. I never read the rest of his run and really need to get on that.
One thing I've always wondered about Linda Carter as Wonder Woman is whether or not they padded her hips while in the costume. Is it just me, or does she look a less curvy while wearing civilian cloths? Maybe it's just my degenerate male imagination...

Just saw this listed in the new books at my local library, and requested it to see how it is... has anyone read this? If so what did you think? -M

That's pretty cool.
I hope it's not "Superman's Girlfriend, Wonder Woman."

Eh to me the designer took their cues from production designs of Xena Warrior Princess... -M

It's pretty dark and 21st century DC movie. But it looks like Wonder Woman in that context. Thumbs up, mostly.

I looks pretty decent, though I would have preferred brighter colors and the stars.

Eh to me the designer took their cues from production designs of Xena Warrior Princess... Which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Now that you mention it I wouldn't mind seeing Lucy Lawless play Hippolyta. She was good as Wonder Woman in the New Frontier adaptation.

Now that you mention it I wouldn't mind seeing Lucy Lawless play Hippolyta. She was good as Wonder Woman in the New Frontier adaptation. It's not necessarily a bad thing if all you want to convey is warrior woman. If you want to convey all the other things at the heart of the Wonder Woman character, it misses the mark badly, but that's my big issue with DC's cinematic visions, they are reductionist and focus on on aspect of the character to the detriment of all other character traits, reducing the character to a fraction of what they are and what has made them endure for decades. -M
