Btw, my only wish this year is NOT to see John Byrne conquer the list. Don't let me down, people... He sure as hell won't be on my list. I do not endorse the Anti-Christ. |

I know an Avengers fan who always refers to him as John Byrne the Anti-Christ, so it's gotten stuck in my head.
As a particularly apt description.

Instead of Liefeld's typical exaggerated shoulder pads and pouches will we get oversized knife-turning belt buckles? Holy crud. This is a week away! Yeah, I was thinking the same thing because I still have to figure out how to cut my list down and then order it. I've managed to cut it down to 15 from my original list of 23 but I'm stumped. |

I think I got my 12 locked down, with 2 alternatives just in case I feel like switching out.....
I'm sure you'll know most of them, but there's going to a be few that'll throw you for a curve ball.

I have a lackluster list. I almost feel like sitting this year out. Your favorites are your favorites dude, doesn't matter how they stack up to any one else's favorites. You like what you like. You love John Buscema and despise Archie comics, I may disagree and debate that because I don't share the same opinions (I like Buscema just not as much as you do or his later work  ), but I love that you have your own views and know what you like. Getting to see what others love about comics is part of the joy of the 12 Days. Sometimes you are introduced to things you never saw before and are blown away, sometimes it's nice to see your own tastes mirrored in others, and sometimes you scratch your head at other's tastes, but in the end, we're all comics fans who love what we love and share it here for others to see. And the more people that participate, no matter what their list is comprised of, the better the whole thing is. So I hope you don't sit out. -M |
