There is no doubt about the significance of this issue, and the content is not so bad, but this is one of the most boring, poorly designed covers I have seen in a while, the band of colors are awful, the Shuster figure is not his best work and the only other thing on the cover is a poorly drawn hill/landscape hidden in the lower corner...not much to draw a reader in except for the appeal of Supes himself...  -M |

I don't really expect any great covers from the dawn of comic books. To me, all the Superman covers look like that in the beginning.
