You all got me curious about this Secret avengers book, and I want to read it! ...But I looked on the Internet (mostly on mycomicshop.com) and can't find what series you guys are talking about. As far as I can see, there is 3 SA series, but none written by Ellis... Warren Ellis wrote issues #16 - 21 of the Secret Avengers series that started in 2010. His issues were right after the Fear Itself crossover issues. Thanks a lot guys! I added them to my "want" list. For some reason I thought it was the first 6 issues of the series, that's why I didn't find them.

Good news today regarding a book I'm looking forward to... Black HammerTHIS ! I've been looking forward to this for a while now and it looks even better than I hoped. Didn't know Dean Ormston had a stroke. God that has to be rough. I wish him the best of luck. This will be one of the few titles I'll pay full cover for. I haven't done that since Multiversity.

Read issues #0-#2 of Boom's take on Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers and while it isn't up to par with IDW's TMNT, it's still a page turner. It mostly focuses on the events after Tommy, the green ranger, switched sides and joinex up with Jason and the others. There's a lot of self doubt and confusion with Tommy, which is interesting. Also kind of liked how they finally showed the interior of the zords beyond just the static cockpit shots that we're so used to

Is this the first Power Rangers comic ?
My kids were exactly the perfect demographic when it came out. It's one thing my son and three daughters all liked.
Never saw more than a few minutes of it but was really surprised someone wasn't capitalizing on the characters. I probably would have bought copies for my kids.

There have been Power Rangers comics off and on form various publishers since the 90s. -M

huh
I could've done a quick web check, but I didn't think they existed.
I've never seen any or heard of them.

Yeah, I'm hearing a lot of good things about the new Black Panther. I have it in my laptop bag right now (that and The Fix. Can't wait to read it this evening).

Kind of curious as to what Ditko's whole take on the series was and if he had any ideas of his own on how to drastically re-invent it as only he could

I'm sure he just saw it as another commercial art job, same as Spider-Man.
