I've been in a plateau funk for months. I've mixed up my exercise by adding and trying new and different things. Ive intensified and increased my exercise. I've maintained my diet. I cannot lose the last 5-10 freaking pounds! It took approx 8-10 months to lose 55lbs. But I've hardly lost a damn pound in the last 8-10 months. I lose and gain 3lbs and endlessly circle between 205-207. I just want to break 200! Just once more in my life. Wth. I'm pretty much in the same boat with the weight cycling, though I know the cause of mine (not keeping strictly enough to calorie limit, and not burning enough in absence of cycling). When you say you're keeping to your diet - have you recalculated your calorie limit based on your reduced weight? Are you tracking everything you eat? I track my calories as best I can. I dont obsess over it and I'm sure it's rarely exact on any given day, generally pretty close I think. I also try to err by rounding up Etc. I haven't recalibrated. I've maintained approx 2000 cal per day diet. According to my fitness tracker I maintain what I imagine is a pretty decent calorie out vs calories in average. I don't want to kill or punish myself and be miserable. And I want to be able to make it a lifestyle I can maintain and be content with. I can't / don't want to survive on much fewer calories a day, or add much more of my life to exercise. At least now that the weathers nice again I can get back to supplementing my reg exercise w biking and add more variety.

Getting into a bit of a rhythm on gym attendance... very pleased to establish that the weights on the machines in the gym at work are calibrated in Kg not Lbs, so not quite as puny as I had feared.

OK, enough with the moping and not posting, it's time to re-engage and re-energise.
I've got about 6 weeks left until the 1st anniversary of starting this weight loss sequence. After several months of really plateaued weight, I'm determined to hit some milestones for that 1 year mark: specifically getting my weight back under 168 (and ideally to 164 to hit 4 stones / 56lb loss), and my waist down to 31" (for 10" loss).
Today, I'm weighing in at 170.8, with a 31.5" waist - let's get this party re-started!

An (apparently) beautiful sunny spring day, but wise to the ways of British weather, I dress up warm, despite which the first half of my commute is freezing cold from wind chill, with numb fingers and a frozen head. Followed of course by a second half where I melted and arrived at work dripping with sweat. Also, a cricked neck, a cramped calf and decelerating heart-rate after the excitement of one near-death experience. It can only mean one thing: I'm back on the bike! For the first ride in nearly 6 months, it wasn't bad at all - not blazing fast, not effortless but comfortable and not a bad time. But at this stage, I'm not interested in the times - I just want to get some miles in the locker, build fitness and burn some calories, not worry about personal bests or anything like that. Basically, it's all about the base ('bout the base), not the levels ( b'dum-tish! thank you, thank you, I'm here all week...) Also, weight today: 170.0, which is at least a 'random walk' in the right direction

I had a quick 3 mile ride last Thursday. I plan to jump on the bike again tomorrow.

doing pretty good w/ Maintenance. in the past month, I've been walking only 3x per week, and eating out a bit more. .and am still staying around the same weight. as of this morning, I'm 176.0 (and on 4/22 I was 176.8). so down in total, 69lbs, and maintaining it. (a little flabby, but thinner)

Weight this morning: 169.6, so just under the 170lb/50 pound loss mark for the first time in nearly 2 weeks. Fairly decent gym session yesterday, another decent commute into work on the bike today. 168 pounds, I'm coming for you!
(Though, having said that, I'm going to my last football game of the season tomorrow, which is generally a dietary disaster, so there may be a bit of back-sliding to come)

For my part, after the expected dietary disaster (and the less-expected sporting disaster) of my last football game of the season on Saturday, and a bit of over-indulgence on Sunday, I'm reasonably satisfied to be back down to 169.8 this morning. Another 42 minutes / 9+ miles on the bike this morning. Aiming for 3 days commuting and 3 days in the gym this week.

Gym again yesterday, getting easier and much less DOMS afterwards. Weight still oscillating a bit, but much smaller swings and general trend is down (hoorah!) - 169.4 this morning.
Biked in again today, in "warm, dry weather" according to the forecast, or as we who live in this little place called reality like to call it, "continuous drizzle". Comfortable, if somewhat wet, ride, time nothing to write home about.

keeping up the walks 2-3 x per week, and although it still FEELS like I'm eating way too much, the scale don't lie.
this morning I was still 176#, so maintaining my 69lb loss.
