I may give that a shot myself. I'm not crazy about the art (Batman looks kinda goofy), but I imagine it'll work well with the story.

Hmmm DC just announced a new series I may have to break down and try...Gotham by Midnight by Ray Fawkes and Ben Templesmith. Jim Corrigna is the lead character and it looks to be a Gotham Central meets BPRD style of book. Templemith's character designs look interesting. BC article
CBR articlesample art... It may be intriguing enough for me to break my new52 moratorium, especially if it is a $2.99 title. -M I'm beginning to feel a little Batman/Gotham overkill but I'll at least check out the 1st issue.

Anyone interested in reading the Warren Ellis/Mike Allred Spirit of Bacardi GN, it is available for free at the Bacardi site. You can read it there or download the PDF... Spirit of Bacardi-M I don't even drink, but Ellis/Allred is a hard combo to pass up...

Ben Templesmith is one of my favorite artists. From what I hear he's not reliable long term on a title though. I wonder how long until he's only doing covers? DC likes a tight release schedule.

Is there any buzz about the upcoming Death of Wolverine mini?

My guess is that he's only going to be doing the first arc, no evidence just a gut feeling and a lot of companies have been promoting new books with artists who usually do creator-owned stuff and have scheduling issues as a draw, only to see them do one arc and move on to other projects. I know Ellis is waiting on Templesmith to be available to finish one of their projects together (Fell maybe), and JMS and Templesmith had a creative falling out on one the Straczynski's books for Image with Templesmith leaving. My guess, he's doing some work for hire to fund the creator-owned stuff he wants to do in the future, so it will be a limited engagement. I like the look and the concept enough to check it out, but it will have to hook me to keep me coming back, and if Templesmith is short-term, whoever comes on will have big shoes to fill. -M

He's also heavily involved in the 44Flood stuff now.

Is there any buzz about the upcoming Death of Wolverine mini? Is this a sort of sequel to Old Man Logan or does it take place in the present?

It's supposed to take place in the present.. it's getting tons and tons of hype. The general mood on CBR seems kinda disinterested, but SO many people say they're disinterested, I suspect that might just be the cool thing to say.

Original Sin #7 Snore. Decent art gets this a 2, but the whole event is just falling flat for me. The fallout in various character's own books is far more interesting to me than Nick Fury, Agent of Awesome! Aaron's favourite 3rd tier villains now seem to be incredible powerhouses. And the Watcher fighting and throwing energy blasts around is just wrong. 2/5
Superman & Wonder Woman #11 A decent chapter in this seemingly never-ending crossover. Mongul and Non tucking their tails and slinking back into the negative zone once they realised Brainiac was around was great. Horny Doomsday at the end sure does look stupid though. 3/5
Hulk #5 Interesting new direction, and I like that we're hopefully going to pare down all the Hulks that have accumulated over the years. Getting back to the Hulk being somewhat unique gets the thumbs up from me. The whole script felt very clunky though. Some of the dialogue didn't scan well to me, and the ending struck me as very abrupt. 3/5

Yes, that Gotham title with Ellis/Templesmith sounds decent, and I'd agree that Templesmith will be gone after the first arc. This sounds promising.
