The Emerald City Comic Convention is just four short weeks away, which means it's time to announce the details of our annual CBR/CCF NW get-together. As was the case last year, we aren't doing anything formal but a bunch of us are getting together for dinner Saturday, March 28, 2015at The 5 Point Cafe415 Cedar Street Seattle, WA (206) 448-9991 from 6:00 PM to whenever Sadly, we no longer have the Hurricane Cafe but the 5 Point seems like a reasonable facsimile: the food is comparable in quality, quantity and price, it's not too much further from the Seattle Convention Center, and, yes, there’s a bar! Rob Allen and yours truly will once again be your jovial hosts and, as always, significant others, spouses and well-behaved children are more than welcome. So come join us for some good eats, geek cameraderie and post-convention frivolity. You'll be glad you did. Cei-U! I summon the par-tay!

New restaurant, new forum, but old traditions continue.
I feel like it was just yesterday we got together for the last Emerald City, but that was a whole 'nother forum ago.
I fear I won't make it this year, but last year was a great time, and I will make it back in a few years.

Just a reminder to all those attending Emerald City that everyone is welcome at the dinner, regardless of whether Rob or I have invited you personally. Don't miss out!

I am a single woman and might be going by myself. Hopefully I won't feel too awkward! Then again, I rarely feel awkward.

Have fun to all my CCF mates going to Emerald City. I envy you! Enjoy the gathering, and if anyone has a camera snap some picks so we can vicariously enjoy the good times! One year, I am going to make the trip, just not sure which year, but it's the one bigger con I want to do.

There's nothing to feel awkward about, we're a welcoming group. Here's how to recognize us when you get to the 5 Point - Cei-U! is the bearded one in the electric wheelchair and I'm the long-haired guy sitting with him. Depending on how early you arrive, we could be alone or there could be a dozen other folks with us. T minus four days and counting!

Perhaps they are all still too hung-over to log on...
