I don't mind asking subjective questions - or answering them. Someone asked me for my interpretation about a certain plot point in Joker. Happy to answer that.
But I have had absurd questions. One was, "Who is romantically hooked up with who in Marvel Comics?" Great, just give me 1,000 years to answer that.
Asking me whether Joker is on Netflix is a question that needs to be asked of, well, Netflix.
Asking me who played a certain character in Batman Returns is an absurd waste of time.

I spent some time over the last couple of days cruising through the old Politics Thread. No I don't want it back. I was very much in favor of it going away. We absolutely lost a number of good posters because of it (and a few not-so-good). But DAMN that thread has some of my absolute best stuff in it. Agreed. Thirded. Though looking back, holy crap. I can't believe it's been locked since May. Has time gone this quickly??

For those who want some political discussion, the politics thread over on CBR is pretty interesting. I read it regularly but rarely post.

Yeah, but that thread was like the origin of the watchers Story. It was given to a race that wasn’t ready for it and it caused destruction. I'm still here. Call me Uatu.

I just finished reinstating and reposting all the pictures and page scans that were deleted from my Tintin review thread when the image hosting site I had used closed down last year (damn you, tinypic!). It was a really boring task, but I'm glad it's done. I'm intending to post a new Tintin review in the next week or so, so I wanted to get the thread looking shipshape before that. But I really hope I don't have to do that again for a long old time. I've also repaired the pictures in my old Star Wars thread, up to the end of 1979, but I've still got a way to go with that one yet. *sigh*

I’m tempted to finally check out your thread as long as there isn’t a Green Rabbit in it.

It took me ages to fix all my review threads when Photobucket decided to hold everyone's photos ransom without warning, and I still have a thread or two I haven't finished restoring. Then, what happens when the site I'm using to host now does the same thing? I'm not sure I'll have the energy to keep doing this.

Speaking of thinking of the children, I am incredibly happy for my older daughter today. She was informed this morning that she got one of the female solos for the spring chorus concert, and her teacher had given her a perfect score on her audition. There are only three solos and more than 20 girls competing for them, including some who take private voice lessons, so this is a big deal for her.
