In the beginning, there was shaxper, and he was okay.
Then he said "Let there be mods," and we had some: mrp and Hoosier X.
More recently, thwhtguardian joined our ranks, while Dr. Poison, mars, hondobrode, azraelms, and Strykerx2k stepped up to man the integrated Hall of Justice Community.
But here comes the biggest staff shake-up yet.
For one, I intend to step back from moderating in the coming weeks. I have too many other responsibilities to the site to be able to put in the time required to do this well, and I also think it comes off as more intimidating when the site administrator issues a warning to a member than a moderator. I'd prefer to leave it to others to make this their duty and treat it with an attention and passion that I can't give it.
For another, due to issues completely outside of The CCF, mrp will be taking an extended leave from the community in order to give attention to other pressing matters in his life. He has not quit and has certainly not been asked to leave. If all goes well, we will be seeing him here again down the road. We all wish him the best.
But it's time for some new blood to take the reigns in helping to keep this the best darn comics community on the web. Over the next few weeks, thwhtguardian, Hoosier X, Confessor, De Sinclair, Dr. Poison and I will be working together to re-examine current policy and practices on the site, determine what's working and what's not, and ultimately have a new generation of moderators helping to define this community, as well as preserve its peace. We're not looking to make any drastic changes to the everyday format and operation of the site, mind-you -- just the expectations we have for the community and how we uphold them.
Please join me in welcoming the new CCF staff. I'm extremely excited to be working with them.
