From Today Is D-Day For DC Comics’ June Mini-Relaunch Posted on December 9, 2014 by Rich Johnston I’m told today is decision day for a number of titles that have been pitched to DC for the June mini-relaunch. Yes, DC Comics are having a June mini-relaunch. After the Convergence event comes to an end and DC Comics has moved from New York to Burbank, expect a bunch of new ongoing comics and some relaunches. They will need to get started soon if they are going to have get ahead of production for June. Is this just smart planning… or is this the first signs that Burbank is going to be less forgiving about late books? Burbank means Hollywood to a lot of people. Just like we don’t tune in week after week or month after month to learn that “Sorry, this episode of The Flash wasn’t ready! Maybe next week.” And we don’t have David Schwimmer starring at Agent Coulson for two of the five acts of Agents of SHIELD, could it be that Burbank is finally going to make publishing act like publishers?

As long as the same people are in charge, the relocation isn't going to change a damned thing.
Cei-U! Wishes he could be less cynical!

Uh, not so sure.
According to what I've read, the move means roughly half the editorial staff will no longer be there.
Also, this move wasn't just to get attention but to purposely put DC closer to parent WB, so I can't help but think some things are going to be different.
Will that be for better or worse ? Can't say right now, but between Convergence and the ripple effects of the larger scope of the Megaverse, I think it's pretty certain things are going to be different.
I'm a big DC fan, through thick and thin, and am hopeful.
Didio, Lee, Kanalz, Bond, Berganza, etc are all there yet, so it's not like everything is going to change. We'll know better in 6 months, coincidentally (not), when Marvel's touting they have Big Change coming too.

I honestly think it's rather strange that in this day and age of telecommuting that a company would engage in such a massive move as this for the sake of geographic proximity.

It makes a lot of sense in dealing with the tv networks and Hollywood, as DC is primarily an i.p. farm and secondarily a publisher.
