Welcome to the Analysis. It has been a while.
Sorry I have been gone so long, time has just gotten away from me. I would like to say that things will be more regular, but with the holiday season and life getting in the way, I can't guarantee that. What I can confirm is that I am still here, and will do my best to offer the Analysis on a more regular basis. December will probably be rocky, but once the holiday season is done, I am sure I will be more regular on here. Now let's get to it.
Mattycollector has their Cyber Sale going on all week, and they have a number of DC Universe products available here:
www.mattycollector.com/store/matty/en_US/DisplaySubCategoryProductListPage/categoryID.12524500
Included are the previously sold out Ice and Conner Kent Superboy figures. They did have Aquaman, but I don't see it there now. They also have the Doomsday Unleashed
The Batman Television Series recently came out on DVD and Blu-Ray. The Blu-Ray was released in a limited edition, and now they announced that there is an unlimited version. Details here:

One of my favorite new shows this last fall is Gotham, on Fox. The fall finale just happened, and we have much to look forward to in the second half of the season.

My other new favorite show is the Flash. I like it better than I thought I would (although I still think they made Barry about 5 years too young). It just completed their crossover with Arrow, and it has really grown as a show. Speaking of Arrow, we just signed up for Netflix again after a few years away from it, so now I plan to spend a good part of the holiday season checking out Arrow from the beginning. I have heard nothing but good things about the show.
On the other hand, I have yet to check out Constantine. Time is my enemy here, but I have been DVR'ing it and plan to watch it in one binge sitting at some point.
And in the future....
Breaking news today - AMC has officially ordered a pilot based on the comic series Preacher. By the way, Preacher is officially my all time favorite comic series. I pull it down and reread the entire series once a year. Thank goodness for the hardcover editions. Details about the television series here:

In the comics world, the DC news has been sparce, except for details regarding the Convergence event in April and May. You can read about it here:

Speaking of comics, I know I have been talking about it, but I have recently cut down on the comics that I am getting. I mean wayyy down. I cut out all the weekly comics, and a bunch of the regular monthlys. I am down to Batman, Detective, Earth 2, and Justice League for the regular DC titles, and the Multiversity comics as they come out. I am also getting the monthly Walking Dead comic from Image. And that is it. This was prompted by the recent September Future's End event. I realized that I ordered a bunch of these, along with the regular titles, I was getting, and after about 2 months, I had only read Batman, Detective, Earth 2, Multiversity, and Walking Dead. I have a large pile of unread comics, and don't have the ambition to read them. I am sure I will (probably again during the holiday break) but this has shown me that my interest in the New 52 has really gone downhill. Maybe I will get the Convergence event, and that could spark a jump back into it - I did really enjoy the Forever Evil storyline and event, so we will see what happens there.
And that is about all for this week folks. See you next Analysis!
