I haven't read a new comic in...a very long time. But no way I was going to not give a book about the Wesley Dodds version of Sandman. I thought Robert Venditti did a pretty good job with Hawkman, so that was a bonus. I'd never heard of the artist, Riley Rossmo.
The book was...okay. Love that it's set in the early 40s which is where Wes works best. It's appears to be somewhat divorced from Sandman Mystery Theater, which isn't really that surprising. The issue was mostly set-up and I'm not sure it paid off. Wes seems a bit...dumb...or maybe a lot naïve. I'm withholding judgment on Dian until I see some more...but I suspect I won't like her as much as Wagner's Dian. I'm not sure how I feel about the art. It mostly works, but I don't love it.
I dunno. I'll probably finish it out because of the setting and because I do think that Venditti is capable of making it good. But the start only kind of works for me.

Green Lantern #4. Another enjoyable issue. As I have said in previous reviews I like having Hal on Earth for awhile. His team up with Flash/Barry Allen vs Sinestro was awesome. Great looking art enhances the story as well.

World's Finest: Teen Titans #4. Wally has Garth and Roy to his house for a visit. This was a really good story with humor and showcasing the Titans in their civilian lives. Really fun issue.

Batman & Robin #2. I felt this issue was much better than the first issue. I like the dynamic between Bruce & Damian. I was a bit skeptical of Shush but so far the set up has been good. I definitely like this title more than the main Batman title.
