Okay, here's a wild new idea for a Patreon premium! I am re-reading Crisis on Infinite Earths in preparation for our next episode (we will be recording next Saturday), and I am writing my notes on a google doc. Just wrapped up Crisis on Infinite Earths #1. Seven pages of notes, and thwhtguardian and I are already debating the logic of Wolfman's multiverse itself in the comments. I'll probably work a bit of that into the episode. A few choice lines from my notes thus far: "Hard to believe a comic with Green Lantern (or at least a version of him in it) can be so blindly Earth-centric." "Why does the Lex Luthor of Earth 3 look like NFL Super-Pro?" "Try not to die like a b*tch, Owlman." “'I can do nothing more than cry' is kind of how Wolfman’s scripting is making me feel too." ...And a lot of serious and scholarly considerations too, but, well, ya gotta pay up to see those  |

Notes for Crisis on Infinite Earths #2 are complete. Starting to realize how sloppily similar this all feels to The Great Darkness Saga. Of course, I've got a lot more to say than that if you decide to check it out! |

Issue #3 is done, and I'm really falling into a rabbit's hole about all the editorial misalignments across the DCU that are already extremely apparent. And yes, I'm already working on a tinfoil hat theory for this episode.

And yes, I'm already working on a tinfoil hat theory for this episode. He doesn't name names but in the Absolute Edition I have, Wolfman does talk about some of the issues with getting the various editors to buy into the event. Thinking about it, I wonder if which editors were on board with him played into the characters used on the main team of heroes? |
