So I just got done with Waid's run. Thought it was pretty good. Really liked the last couple of issues where they finally discovered what was wrong with Cap's shield (Vibranium rot that was slowly spreading it's way to the Wakandan vibranium mound). #24 was good too as a little homage segway between Waid and Jurgens. I've read some of the Jurgens run before, and felt that it was really, really good. I feel like if Marvel wanted to make a Captain America cartoon back in the day (and I am aware of the Captain America cartoon that never really got off the ground), they should have swiped Jurgens' artstyle

I agree. I feel Jurgens is an excellent super hero artist and doesn't get enough accolades. I would love to see more work by him. I loved his work at DC, Marvel and Valiant.

Yeah! Loved when Jurgens had Cap make an appearance during his run on Thor (1998):

Finished up Jurgens' Cap run. I thought that Issue 50 was a really great capstone for the run. It tells multiple short stories, I think the best ones were "Keep In Mind" (about a WWII vet going to an elementary school to relate his story of the war), and "A Moment Of Silence" (a group of school kids are playing Avengers and one little boy is tired of playing only the villain and wants to play Cap)
Then I started on the Marvel Knights run, I don't think I've ever read a comic where I just started feeling like I was going to cry. It's such a big melting pot of what happened in the aftermath of 9/11 and it's expertly told
