For anyone who missed this, CBR has taken a pretty dark turn. I haven't been to CBR since the third day CCF existed, and then it was only to secure my handle. I frankly couldn't care less if the whole shooting match went tits up.

None of that surprises me..their content has steadily gone downhill for a long time, and they amount of pop up ads gone up. I really only even go there for the occasional fun bit of comic history from Brian Cronin. Lately they seem to be into useless listicles, while Newsarama seems to have stopped those and have decent content again. Hopefully those people can find a new place, or perhaps create one  |

I've also not been back to CBR in ages and even when I was there, i rarely visited the main site, but the news is still very troubling: this is something that is not just hitting CBR but many websites: big companies buying them up, expecting not just profit, but increasing growth every year, while not investing and cutting resources and increasing ads.

The CBR forums seem unaffected, which is good. The regulars there seem like decent people for the most part.
