Watching gravity falls with my boys. Wondering if I'm ever going to get over this gold and be able to breathe and or hear again.

I will be heading over to my girlfriend's place for Thanksgiving and spend time with her family today. Just her, me, her parents, and two other couples that we know for a nice quiet gathering of 8 people for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner today.

Normally I'd feel the same. But this year it's just my father in law and his wife taking us out to eat. I can live with that.
Then I get home it's time for some beers. Yay!

Getting ready to head out to a not quite local (it's about 45 minutes away) comic shop doing a Black Friday special where they rented the next door storefront and have 40K comics on sale for 50 cents or a dollar each...brought in by a couple of con dealers/promoters special for the sale. I've bought from them at shows and they feature a lot of $2-3 non-key low-midgrade Silver and Bronze books and this is supposedly of that ilk, so we'll see.

Wanting to live my life but having only 8 hours of sleep in the last 48 hours is really making it challenging.

It was much more recent stuff for the most part. There was some Silver and Bronze but the bulk of stuff was late 80s-present. Still found some good stuff though, and saw more I would have maybe gotten if I had more time (and spent another $40). The way it was set up was the storefront was divided in half, on one side were books they hadn't taken to a show yet-these were all $1 each. On the other side (and in the back room) were the stuff they had taken to shows 1 or more times and had left-these were all 50 cents each or fill a long box for $40. I never even got to look through the $1 boxes, but did take the $40 offer on the 50 cent stuff (my list of wha tI got is in the Classic Comics purchased thread). Had I gone back I would have likely loaded up on Strangers in Paradise and Cerebus issues, 2 series I have been thinking about getting into via trade, but that they had large chunks of in the 50 cent indy boxes but I passed on initially for the stuff I did get. -M
