Making dinner! Olive & mushroom chicken casserole with a sweet potatoe purée. One of the few things my boys agree to eat without complaining!

Just finished the pencils on the first page of a 4 page prologue story I am doing for the studio. The story has been banging around in my head for a few years and I got tired of trying to find an artist to do it, so decided to bite the bullet and do it myself. I have been working on the page for a bit now (I scrapped two previous tries a few panels in) in between working on pages for the coloring book the studio is putting out early next year, trying to find my pencilling voice for the story and taking some input from a few studio mates and my lovely wife (who has no problem at all telling me when my stuff sucks! -art or writing so when she says it is starting to look ok, I believe her). Feels good to have a page done (don't even want to think about the inking or lettering yet) but now I am staring at a blank page for page 2 and looking at my script thinking I need to rework the panel structure from my initial idea when writing it...but first maybe some sleep would do me some good. -M I hate the feel of a blank page staring at you and Im my own worst enemy in terms of judgement. I hate everything Ive done. A friend who can give you honest, clear feedback is one of the best things you can have. Hope youre working through stuff alright. Be interested to see some of your work. I originally replied with some pics here, but decided it better fit int he plug your comics thread, so I moved it there. You can find the thread here... Plug your comics-M |

Must be one hell of a chicken if you need security. Once we had a cook-up on the beach and a couple of guys tried to get too friendly and invite themselves in...kinda bothersome. |

I will be leaving to do some errands, have a late breakfast, and start thinking about the 12 Days of Christmas of which we select 12 Covers for our contest that starts on December 13th.

So SUBWAY (locally) has a new 'supreme' teriyaki chicken and I just ate a footlong...all 12 inches...and need a cookie.
I think I'll need to roller-blade about 5 miles later....

Thinking how well I'm going to sleep tonight with my arm throbbing, having been 16 days since I broke it, while witnessing the lighting quick speed of US medical insurance.
It probably doesn't help I gave the last ten Tylenol 3 prescription I had to our neighbor, whose boyfriends son stole her medication for her ruptured disc cause he's a pill head his father won't even admit. And I'm just to "blah" to drink it away tonight.
