I didn't notice this until today with the solicits, but apparently it's been out there. There will indeed be a new Titans book (also written by Tom Taylor). They advertising it as 'The Titans have replaced the Justice League'.
Finally!
I know it probably won't last, but I'm excited anyway!

Has Taylor done anything worthwhile? I utterly disliked the Injustice stuff and the few other things I sampled, so I've stayed away from anything else he has written since. What I disliked what his tone, thematic choices and authorial voice, not plots or dialogue (neither of which I thought was good, but it's not what tuned me off him). Has he done anything that is different from the tone, themes and voice he used while writing Injustice and the stuff he did prior and contemporary to that (like Earth-2) that might make reading his stuff palatable to me? I love the Titans, but if Taylor is consistent with the stuff of his I read previously, his writing it is a non-starter for me.

I liked Injustice, but I agree they took it too far. He's been great on Nightwing so far, even if he insists on keeping him and Barbara a couple.
He also wrote the Jon Kent book (son of Kal-El) which had an amazing crossover with Nightwing. He definitely gets Dick Grayson. He seems to do more elseworlds than anything...he's also writing Dark Knights of Steel, which had an intriguing premise but failed to keep my attention and Dceased, which features Dick Grayson, Vampire King.
I'm guessing he's a fan (though he killed him off in Injustice really quickly)

I can see getting that from Injustice, but Nightwing has been pretty light and fun.

Injustice he was really bound by everything happening in the video games it's based upon and he had to adjust plotlines and stories based on what the plot of the second videogame would be. (He has said that he identifies his wife (a reporter) with Lois Lane, so he found writing Lois death in the comic hard, but it was what happened in the game).
I was a big fan of his Wolverine, his X-Men Red, his Suicide Squad and also his Nightwing and I would describe none of them as bleak (well maybe Suicide Squad, because it is Suicide Squad).

Yeah, aside from Injustice he's mister bright, hopeful and fun. Nightwing is one of the best superhero books out there and Jon Kent was pretty solid.

Oh wait, I also read Seven Secrets, his creator owned book for BOOM! and dropped it after the first arc because I started because I liked the concept, but it again was bleak to the point of being something I didn't want to read. I forgot that was by him, but yeah Earth-2, Seven Secrets, neither of which constrained by video game source material, and both were bleaker than injustice. One done before Injustice, one after. So not giving a pass for Injustice being bleak because he was forced to. Other stuff may be lighter, as you say, but he got three strikes for me. And I will go with creator-owned stuff, the most free of editorial interference, being a better indicator that work-for-hire.

I will probably sample the first trade collection of Titans if/when it hits our library of hoopla. They have the Nightwing trades, so I could do that, but I prefer Nightwing in the context of the Titans to solo, so I will probably wait for that first trade to drop. -M
