One thing I kind of enjoyed was when characters used their powers not for super heroics, but just for everyday purposes. It kind of humanizes the characters in a way. This example from an early issue of X-Men comes to mind:

I agree that it's pretty fun when they do that

Back when MJ was pregnant, I imagined that once the kid was born Peter would use his spider web to make impromptu diapers in case of emergencies. I knew it would have come in handy when I had my own kids, and they started playing fireman when we were changing them!

I want to say during Waid's run on The Flash, Wally has been seen rubbing the bottom of a kettle fast enough to boil water and make tea.

This example from an early issue of X-Men comes to mind: So, how did their powers allow them to speak Italian? I mean, besides Professor X; but, even he would have to mind read an Italian.

Yeah, I could only find the Italian version of that panel.

Love it when Wolverine (Logan) cooks weiners & carves the roast using his claws...

Well, is it mundane enough?

I don't think kinky sex with MJ - hell, any sex with MJ - could ever be described as mundane.

Superman immediately comes to mind: As well as Superboy
Maybe not "everyday," but I seem to remember a scene where Sue Richards made the pregnant Scarlet Witch's belly invisible so Dr. Strange could examine the baby.

Wolverine's claws are quite utilitarian... Indeed. No need for a fly-swatter with those claws...

I couldn't find it, but there is a scene in John Byrne's FF run where Johnny is using his powers to exterminate cockroaches in his apartment. I'm sure there are tons of Human Torch examples.
