<Insert jaded/cynical comment about the modern day comic industry that is irrelevant because I'm not reading modern comics anyway here>

Just read elsewhere in the internet that there is/was a storyline involving Joker getting pregnant. Say what? 1940s : The Joker disguises himself as a pregnant woman; his belly is hiding a money bag from the bank (with a big dollar sign on it). 1950s : The Joker disguises himself as a pregnant woman; his belly hides a big boxing glove on a spring. 1960s : On Earth-31 all super-heroes and villains are sex-swapped, and the Joker is expecting. 1970s : Joker's conjoined twin, stuck in his belly, tries to become the new kingpin of crime. 1980s : Joker is impregnated by a Face-hugger in Batman vs Aliens. 1990s : The Post-Crisis Joker conjoined twin is introduced, but this time he wears a leather jacket. 2000s : The conjoined twin corps is introduced. 2010s : Grant Morrison's Joker is a transdimensional being whose madness is a manifestation of the universe's infinite power of chaotic creation, hence the pregnancy. 2020s : Joker was a woman all along, and there were clear hints that you, dear reader, simply just missed.

RR wins the Internet for today.

This is a short, humorous, non-continuity backup strip. The controversy is mush ado about nothing.

Exactly this, and it's not as if the concept of a guy getting pregnant for comedy is a new idea, Arnold Schwarzenegger did it in Junior back in 1994 and Billy Crystal did in Rabbit Test in 1978. I'm not reading Joker: The Man Who Stopped Laughing so I don't know if the story is good mind you, but it's not a very controversial concept.

Is that all it was? And there's controversy anyway? Wonder why I'm not surprised.

Yeah, it's a pretty regular occurrence at this point; reminds me of how Fox News went crazy when Superman said, " 'The American way' isn't enough anymore, the world's too small, too connected" and then renounced his citizenship so his actions would be less likely to be seen as American Policy actions abroad.

Wait, Superman did what? How did he renounce his citizenship without revealing that he's Clark Kent? Did he then apply for a permanent resident status? Did he have to apply for a green card? Did Iran bestow him a honorary citizenship just to make things more complicated for him? Clark, Clark, Clark... I would recommend not taking on the bureaucracy and the paperwork just for the sake of a statement... it'll drive you insane quicker than opal kryptonite!

Just read elsewhere in the internet that there is/was a storyline involving Joker getting pregnant. Say what? AsI said on another thread the other day, Don't know who the father is, but I'm sure the baby will have Joker's face. He'll save it for the little darling.
