I have a question about Joe Fixit. Although I was a big Hulk fan through the 70s and most of the 80s, and I even read David’s later run after Hulk was green again, I’ve never read any of the Joe Fixit stories. But I really liked Joe Fixit #1. My question: Is he Fixit all the time? Or does he turn back to Banner during the day? I’m asking because I read that Fixit is the same Hulk manifestation as the surly, gray Hulk from Hulk #1. I think at first he still turned into Banner during the day... but they had some sort of psyche battle and he was just Fixit all the time after that. It's been a while though, so I could be misremembering. Fixit definitely made it so Banner couldn't do anything... I vaguely remember him being trapped in a hotel room a couple times. Half the fun of that run was watching the two keep trying to cheat the system of reverting back to the other. One of Fix-it's best moves was to get so thoroughly drunk that Bruce would end up sleeping through his entire time in control.

Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty #8This book had been so much better than the Sam Wilson-led effort recently, but this issue just left me flat for two reasons. The first is that while the book is oh so pretty, as Carmen Carnero has a very unique style, nothing actually happens in this issue. It's A LOT of talking and small moments, which would be fine if it wasn't all just exposition in place of activity. The book doesn't have to be all guys and girls in tights punching each other, but if it felt like there was any forward progress, that would be nice. The second is something I'll put behind a spoiler tag, although maybe it doesn't need to be: {Irritant #2}I REALLY dislike the implication of a sexual encounter between Steve and Emma Frost. While I haven't read a ton of recent Marvel and this might be completely off-base, the way that Steve hems and haws around how he knows Emma makes it seem as though they got together at some point.
Another book (one of the X-Men series from a number of years ago) came right out and stated that Tony Stark and Emma used to hook up, which I could see because Tony is a libertine and Emma is known to have been, at least at one point, a woman of questionable morals. Emma just doesn't seem to be the type that Steve would be drawn to, not because she isn't attractive but because she's not like him; he's more of a traditionalist, and she is certainly not.
Even more bothersome is Sharon's response that Steve "doesn't have to be a monk" when she's not around. Maybe I'm a romantic at heart, but I don't see Steve catting around behind Sharon's back, even if she is perfectly OK with it.
Now all you kids get off my damn lawn!! Also, when did Luke Cage become mayor of New York? I'll keep reading this, because it's the better of the two Captain America books right now by a decent margin, but they're going to have to do better than this.

Yeah, this was a whole lot of treading water for me. And while definitely better than Sam's book by a wide margin it is slipping as the whole secret society story seems a little needlessly convoluted. For me this is the kind of story that probably would have worked better if it was told in four or five parts but at eight and counting it just feels like there is too much padding to hold my interest.

Also, when did Luke Cage become mayor of New York?
It happened about 6 months ago in Daredevil when Fisk was thrown out as mayor and Luke Cage ran and won as the new mayor.

Fantastic Four #3. This issue focuses on Johnny. He has stayed in NYC under a new ID. He is still portrayed as a hotheaded immature young adult. Of all the members his character has not been allowed to show any growth as a person. This is dissapointing to me. However next issue we get to see the team reunite.

I haven’t read DD in a while, so that’s why I missed it. It was actually a whole company crossover... Devil's Reign. It was kinda redo of Dark Reign,..heroes were outlawed, Kingpin made a bunch of villain cops/heroes,etc.
