I really dug issues 1 and 2. #4 showed up in my pull but I never saw #3. Apparently all the copies my lcs received were damaged and Luna never sent replacement copies. They are trying to track me down a copy of #3 so I can read the rest of the city, as it is supposedly in stock, but that doesn't explain why they never sent replacement copies for the damages. -M

Worlds Finest #10Written by Mark Waid Art by Dan Mora Summary: The Joker and the Key having captured David decide to torture him in order to learn the identities of Batman and Superman. Plot: While I'm still loving the book and the tease at the end of this issue was excellent this issue was definitely far from my favorite. To start with I still don't care for the Key, and the Joker loving torturing people is my least favorite take on the character so seeing more of that was a pretty big turn off. I still love the characterization of Batman, Robin and Superman though and I really liked the way Waid tied into Kingdom Come so I'm excited to see where that goes. Art: Despite not caring for the graphic violence, Mora still really shined here delving some really great images of the heroes. I loved his angry Superman as he bursts in the door to save David, everyone does the glowing red eyes for angry Clark but the strain in his body was what sold me here; this was a man using every ounce of his considerable strength to literally hold himself back from committing violence. It was just fantastic. Grade:7/10

Quick Reviews: DCWORLD'S FINEST #10. Like thwhtguardian I feel this issue drifted into the ultra violent style of modern comics. I missed the old school Silver Age "feel". However the art is superb. NIGHTWING #99. Taylor continues his stellar run on this title. This issue tied up some loose ends and sets the stage for #100 & beyond. As always gorgeous art. STARGIRL #2. While I am still not sold on all the "lost" sidekicks angle this story is really entertaining. I like the character. I like the art and so far Johns is telling a decent story.

Quick Reviews: Marvel
STRANGE #9. As we head to the conclusion next issue MacKay throws in a cool unexpected last page. I know from upcoming solicits that Stephen Strange returns to the land of the living instead of being the undead Harvestman here. I just hope Clea stays in the title.
NAMOR #3. So far this has been a good run on one of my favorite Golden Age characters. This is Namor's "Old Man" story. And next issue we get to see him clash with his old friend Jim Hammond the Original Human Torch.

The way it jumped back to Bludhaven here I felt like I missed an issue, last time Babs and Dick were in the woods hiding out from a bunch of assassins trhen they met Nite-Mite...and we never saw that plot resolved other than a string of arrests here. Other than that, I really enjoyed the energy here and the nautical criminal bank was unique and fun.
