I loved the art in the first issue but felt the story was a mess.

DC:
Batman vs Robin #3: Waid continues his story of Damian's corruption by Nezha. Batman goes up against his former Robins one by one to get to Damian and they wear him down mentally by twisting the facts and causing him doubt. It isn't until the reincarnated Alfred (who only has part of his soul making him alive) dies again and tells Bruce his thoughts that Batman becomes resolute again in stopping Damian and Nezha. This issue was quite an emotional one as Batman fights thru his fears and doubts with each of the Robins and admits his shortcomings. And he gets closure with Alfred and his death. This series has had enough great twist to keep me entertained.
The New Golden Age: I'm a HUGE Justice Society fan so I will follow any series that stars them. The art was great and most of the story was interesting but I still feel Johns made the premise way more complicated than it needs to be. I'm not sure introducing "new" sidekicks that are missing is the way to go nor is it necessary to show a version of the JSA survives into the era of the Legion. Plus the way Helena Wayne is reintroduced feels so convoluted. In the end I will still get the new JSA series and try out the new Stargirl series.
I would be very happy to read about stories of the JSA set in the late 40's, 60's & 70's rather than telling modern day stories.

MARVEL:
Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty #6. A big disappointment. It was just a whole issue of Steve and Bucky fighting. I felt this issue could have been told better in about a third of the pages.
Fantastic Four #1. Mixed feelings. They re-launch the title with the same plot device they just used in Amazing Spider-Man recently. Reed has done something terrible and the world is mad at the FF. So this first issue only features Ben & Alicia on a trip by themselves. It wasn't a bad issue. I actually liked the story and the art. It just seemed a strange choice for a #1 issue.
Moon Knight #17. Moon Knight's fight against the vampires kicks into high gear. I really really like this volume of MK!
